It isn't really doing it TO the person you're with I think (never cheated crew). Cheaters themselves must be in a pretty bad space.

You know very well that I am a married millionaire in NYC. So why losers like you project their low standards and personal problems is beyond me.

Or do you enjoy being reminded of your place? Triggered since you're a cheater? Get help srs.

My guess is most people project their feelings onto others. I think most people have a conscience, but perhaps I'm wrong. Some people listen to it better than others, that's for sure.

I know I would feel guilty and I think most of the people around me would, too. I'd certainly try not to be involved romantically with someone who could cheat without guilt. That kind of goes without saying, but when I see the problems some people have in their relationships it's pretty obvious that values/morals weren't given nearly as much consideration as they should have been.

You are the one that needs explaining to.

If you think that every married man who has options cheats, you're projecting. And you're not married, hence your need to learn more before speaking.

That projection is only done by folks coping. E.g., "if a man has options he cheats".

Factually incorrect. Or is every man in a committed relationship making 400k+ a cheater? Options aplenty in NYC, especially if you have money.

Women flock to this city hoping to marry a millionaire and have for decades.

Oh, I agree, lots of people with options stay faithful.

To be more clear I was responding to SS wondering why people assume that cheaters will feel guilty. I think most (not all) people assume that others think like they think and have values that are similar to their own. I know I do it to a degree, and I even though I know I do it, it's hard not to. I think that's partly what got her in trouble with her ex husband. She wasn't capable of recognizing how different he thought versus how she thought.

I get your point. I don't "project" my values; I expect them. So my social circle is tight with people who hold the same value systems, even if we are spread over the USA and the world.

Just like a bad relationship I "sever" people from my life who don't share my values srs.

Isn't this the crux of it?

Sometimes I wonder why folks who cheat, e.g., this colleague of mine - why not go home and ask your partner to edge you off? Or are some folks not that open with their partners even after years?

Well that's my situation but I've met some married men who say that the wife doesn't have sex with them as much as they want, so they use that as a justification to cheat.

Like she'll only have it once a month so he goes on Bumble to cheat.

You stopped having sex with your husband, or he stopped having sex with you (and that's why you justify cheating on him for...a decade +?)

By then I'd say, "Hey wife, I know it's a sin, but I'm totally smashing this sloot if she keeps teasing me. Just letting you know in advance." Not even joking. The fires of hell be damned compared to my everlasting fiery penis. No one ****s with me on a sexual level and doesn't get the D. My libido is too high for your bs optics and ideology.
It's hard to stay faithful when the other person treats you like crap and you only don't end the relationship/marriage because you think you're strong enough for the both of you to make it work. I honestly still wish I had cheated on my first wife, who was a spoiled kunt that didn't deserve me. Out of any woman I ever was with she deserved it, as I was fuked in the head for awhile after her. I have so many stories about how awful she was it would make your head spin. I could have smashed our neighbor who became our roommate every single day and she would've been none the wiser. Hell, doing so probably would have given me the courage to end my misery a couple of year earlier than I did. Cheating on her would have done me some good at the time because I would've said it's over instead of carrying on a fruitless endeavor.

So under some circumstances like I was under (extreme, very unhappy) I can't fault a cheater. Even though I didn't cheat I couldn't blame someone under the same duress. Because I knew I had been faithful under circumstances no one would have blamed me for stepping out I later felt guilty but only so much when I finally did cheat on a few women. The first one I was with a chick for maybe 2 months, we dated for another 2 months afterward. That one I felt awful about because it was my first time cheating. The next time I didn't even feel guilt because I was a few months into a relationship I was already having second thoughts about. I cheated on her a few times with different women, didn't feel remorse as I discovered she was an alcoholic that had been hiding it well. Her problems overwhelmingly became my problems, plus she stole money from me (and took out bills in my name) so even now I don't feel bad about that one. I could go on, but I think ya get the point.

I have kids now so there's no way I would let myself slip. I've been contacted by former hookups who want to "meet up for a beer" or other pretenses. I know what that means and my wife is pretty awesome so I keep things in check. Every circumstance is different, so every circumstance needs to be evaluated differently as an outsider. There is no one way to view every circumstance. That's childish.

Anyway, OP's friend should reflect on why he paid a sloot to give him a handjob. If he feels guilty he's likely unhappy in his relationship and wants to give himself reasons to end it.
Yeah Buddyyy! Light weight! Light weight baby!!!!
