Grats op.

Most of these slacked jawed yanks have no idea how to row their own gears or shimmy hands rather than hand over hand the wheel. They wouldn’t stand a chance in communist uk.

Congrats there Ibby. Time to update your signature though : "Still can’t pass the UK driving test crew" - that's not correct now.

Was your test in Leeds centre ? Don't think many outwith UK/Europe - know how mental driving in our city centres and outwith them into the housing areas just is. Roads around these parts aren't really made for cars anymore - places like your leafy suburbs don't exist.

Matthew 23:21-29

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:
For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes."

Congrats on passing a driving test but when the tests of life and storms happen will your house fall

Understandable it took you so many tries, since they put the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car.

Nah it wasn’t in the centre, Horsforth is in Leeds and semi rural but still has lots of big roundabouts and busy roads at times.

The centre is in Harehills, I outright refused to book my test there it’s full of smackheads and immigrants who run out of the road randomly and the drivers don’t indicate. It has a 34% pass rate srs.

You probably should've taken it there to practise driving in the kind of environment you're soon gonna be living in.

Lol the place I’m moving too ain’t that bad, yes admittedly it’s not the most affluent area but it’s still fairly quiet and isn’t really rough tbh. If anything it’s full of students.

Harehills is on a completely different level pretty much a 3rd world country.

Speeding being a great example, forgetting to check a mirror being another, not giving enough room when overtaking a cyclist (I think you’re officially supposed to give them a cars width wide gap when overtaking now, which is absurd), etc.
you're still not checking your mirrors? everything you mentioned can be solved with that basic task

I dunno man it sounds like a driving instructor problem. He switches to a different one after the other kept flaking on him or was too busy and passes shortly after?

It might not be a coincidence.

Yeh my old instructor kept flaking on me so could barely even get lessons.

Between my 3rd-7th test just rocked up in my mums car with her.

Managed to find a new instructor 3 weeks before my test and filled his diary up in advance so it was like an unofficial crash course.

Was driving 7 hours a week, 2 hour lesson every day or every other day and the bloke knew his stuff while also putting me at ease and getting my confidence back.

Thing is, this is what you were essentially advised to do for months by the misc, i.e take personal responsibility, get your head down and get some serious learning hours under your belt in a relatively short time before taking a test again, rather than chain taking tests, copeing claiming its 'luck' and hoping to get lucky, insisting you can drive perfectly well (when you couldn't until you took more lessons)... but you kept dismissing this advice claiming it's basically luck. Even though you will never admit it, you proved the misc right, once you got your head down and did what was advised, you passed.
