I can't respect any lifter that doesn't understand some bodies are better suited to conventional and some are better suited for sumo. you would seriously have to be a moron to not know that.

lol

CLIFFS OF EVERYTHING

- OP makes sumo hate thread [half joking/half srs]
Spoiler! Show

- OP gets called out by some guy sayin he better have a good deadlift to talk so much chit
- [bold]OP says he doesnt train or eat often enough to have a good deadlift - but could probably deadlift 6 plates for 1 rep at 178lbs as OP estimates he can do 5 plates for 6-8 deadstop reps[/bold]
- Guy thinks OP is bullchitting and asks for video proof
- Suddenly other users come out of nowhere and are 'in for the challenge'
- OP accepts challenge and has a week to deliver
- OP gets banned
- Only a day late - but OP delivers weigh in proof and deadlift proof
- OP is actually 184lbs [had eaten alot already] as the weigh in was taken around 1:30pm- and OP had eaten 2 meals/drunk alot etc. So 'technically' on paper OP is 6lbs over the weight he said he would be. Not sure if this effects the bet [I'll let you decide your judgement] but just trust me when i say i usually hover between 178-183lbs.
- OP's training partner doesnt take a full clear view of the weight like OP requested but you can see at some parts it is genuinely 5 plates.
- OP feels weak as piss but delivers 5 plates for 7 reps.

Youtube requires you to have a phone number to sign up, and I didnt want to upload it on my main youtube account [privacy reasons] so I have had to resort to vimeo. My apologies

Weigh In Proof

edit- had to delete weigh in video as it contains a bit of abuse against mods lol but if you really want to find it you'll find it

Deadlifting Video Proof

[URL=https://vimeo.com/167938550]https://vimeo.com/167938550[/URL]

Sorry for not following through with certain proof requests and ideas i forgot to implement. I know technically I wasnt within the boundaries of the bet, so dont rep me, but i dont think i deserve to get negged either.

----------------------------------------------------------

Current lifts are.....

Deadlift - 485lbs/220kg x7 [I know myself I would have 8 or 9 on a good day. Felt like chit].

Squat - Haven't done it for a while. Should still have 375lbs/170kg x 1. Want to get atleast 180kg/405lbs for a couple by end of the year. Should be able to get that.

Bench - Probably around 275lbs/125kg for 1, 3 plates for 1 pause rep is my goal by end of the year.

----------------------------------------------------------

Physique aint the best. I dont really train that often, and I dont really eat often either, very on and off with everything, ideally I really want to try hit 195lbs atleast by the end of the year though but need to get my ass in gear.

Unpumped/relaxed [ok maybe guilty of a little ab flexing] and 180lbs here at 5'10/5'11

Sumo is like other "lifestyle" choices

i get it some people lift sumo bc they may have individual issues, but i swear that 90% of people (99% of them girls) that lift sumo are IG "fitness models" that lift sumo bc tit lets them lift more

i fukking cringe everytime

you can also tell from that video why he hates sumo.

he has the perfect mechanics for conventional deadlift.

In with Bobby on this. I can pull about 513 sumo and about 500 in a regular deadlift, but I intentionally built my sumo because I find it interesting. Its just and awesome lifts. I pull both ways (one week I pull a sumo variation, the other - a conventional one).
If you prefer conventional - its fine. But I dont get hating on someone who decides to pull something that requires more technique and can move more weight because of that.
In my opinion its like hating on a person who can bench more by using an arch. Powerlifting is about moving more weight - period. And thats the main goal. Doesnt matter how you do it.
