But he comes on too strong actually, like a high pressure salesman. He asks for their number way too quick, before establishing any connection. Heavy player vibe.

And I suspect he is getting numbers because he puts them on the spot, and they're too nice to say no.

That doesn't always work, and they're not showing the times a girl didn't give him her number.

Not at all on a massive scale but I pulled similliar ish in college as a very fat tall dude and almost always got positive responses/numbers. I think most girls just don't want to look mean by saying no and give in. I never had the balls to call any of them I got numbers from cause I assumed rejection but still, they will give numbers out often in that scenario, still not the same as actually being able to get in those panties.
