Got my first job offer at a small acct firm for 53k, plus extra pay for overtime work. The office is full of ex-college frat bros and men/women in their 20's. I will be traveling too.

Don't listen to any JRJester posts, he told me it was impossible to get an accounting job when I was anxious after this interview. Then when I got it he said I got lucky and itll suck. Now hes all over this thread being negative. I bet he hates his life.

My advice to you kids in school in regards to big 4:

Consider consulting aspect, especially federal consulting. If you grad thru a good school(regardless of degree), you can easily make 60-70k out of college and take part it some aspect of software development without IT/programming background.

There are alot of haters out there. What you hear is not the case 99% of the time. Life in big 4 is good.
