sort of. It was really cooking since cooking is basically pre digestion of the food. By cooking you're body used less energy digestOmg food, which allowed a more complex brain. As it is today the brain uses 20% of your energy

No, Cooking food destroys valuable nutrients that could have been utilized by the body. Eat everything raw.

How about yesterday and tomorrow? How much % will our brain use then?

I fkn love whey, but it fks with my stomach so bad I try to stay away as much as possible. Otherwise, I'd be having 3-4 shakes a day minimum.

Should I ditch the whey or what fellas?

Been getting all my protein from whole foods lately

I was drinking a shake post workout for the quicker absorption of the whey but haven't been for a few weeks now

Am I gonna make it?

only consume whey AS A SUBSTITUTE if you are on a rigorous schedule and don't have time to eat whole foods every single meal

otherwise you should be getting protein from whole sources like meat, vegetables, and legumes.

Whey gets sold/marketed because it's a waste product in the manufacturing process for a lot of cheeses and it would just be thrown away otherwise, so it's a really good business strategy for dairies and for supplement companies. Reality is that you don't need that much protein unless you're trying to be Phil Heath or some ****, the average lifter, even the dedicated lifter who does it as a hobby, is far better off getting in some slow release carbs like wholegrain rice or pasta and some vegetables, that way you get fibre, vitamins and the carbs needed to lift properly. Most of the protein that a lot of you guys eat you're going to be peeing out and that's not the best for your kidneys in the long term.

Cliffs: protein powders are mostly junk you don't need designed to make supplement companies money.

thats how it should be

a natty lifter at most would need 200 grams of protein a day and thats probly an overestimation

that can easily be achieved through whole foods

No pro has specifically said this.. But they have said it without saying it, beat around the bush about it, etc. Rich Piana is pretty candid about it saying always choose real food when available. A few pros have had the balls to come out and admit they only drink whey when food isnt available even when the supps company sponsors them.
Comes down to the amino profiles of the foods, protein is just a general term for all the different aminos which each have their own functions.
