Feeling very grateful as I reflect on the difficult personal journey of the past few years, and the blessings of today that have brought me to a good place in life. I was stuck in darkness and hurting inside, feeling isolated and alone....I had lost sight of the light at the end of the tunnel.
Several months ago, things started to change and shift for the better, and I thank God every day that renewed hope was brought back into my life. I wasn't myself for so long, and now I rejoice in the simple pleasure of being comfortable in my own skin again.

Reconnecting with people was a huge factor in building my confidence back up...I didn't realize how lonely or guarded I was until I started letting down my walls and allowing people in again. The human connection is the crux of life, and without it, I was slowly disconnecting with reality and my soul was suffering day in and day out. Losing myself was a terrible thing to experience, but the journey forced me to find myself again, and that is the greatest gift of all. I will cherish it every day in my silent thanks.

Yesterday wasn't bad but it was stressful and I was glad to get home. I'm grateful that I can have a drink. Right after college the only time I'd have one drink was if I only possessed a single drink.

While I was at work I got a text from my older son's baseball coach from last year about how good tryouts went yesterday.

Today is my youngest's 2nd birthday.
Come and take it.

I slept like a baby last night, which is rare for me. Feeling great this morning!

No work at my full time job so we are not able to work. Grateful for my neighbor who always finds work for me when I need it. I'm gonna be insulating and putting bead board up in one of his barns today.

And last but probably the most exciting for me, is I'm gonna break in my new smoker I got for Christmas and throw some ribs on that bad boy later!

I'm grateful for...

- two squat sessions today and not dying

- seeing people from in here, in other places.

- afternoon cuddles with the 3y.o. He loves curling up and taking naps with us.

- My wife still pushing herself to the gym. She'll never love going, like I do, but she still does it

- the twenty minute ride with the 5 y.o. on the way to preschool this morning. He talked the entire ride about everything under the sun. I love just listening to him.
