I am not for a war with Syria nor Russia, but I am sick and tired of people bowing to Russia on everything like they are the world's superpower while making the U.S. military look like some amateur cucks. Russia is not crazy enough to guarantee being blown into the galaxy by firing a single bullet at U.S. military equipment, much less shooting down a F-22 or even launching a nuke.

I think at the end of the day, even Putin is tired of Assad's ****. He survived the war and should stop trying to regain a country which he has lost long ago. Kurds don't want him, Sunnis don't want him.. he will never regain Syria and act like nothing happened. The Russians are wasting money seeing him prolong a war he cannot completely win. He just doesn't have the man power to fight all these people.

Assad's carpet bombing has led to the refugee crisis to begin with. All the refugees come from regions this dumbass is besieging, along with ISIS fanatics to the East. The world is tired of this **** and wants them to go back to zones not being carpet bombed or run by ISIS *******s.

People talking about US blowing Russia to bits in conventional war when we havent had a conventional war against a serious opponent in almost 80 years.

If Trump leaves it at this he might save himself. Expand on this and hos campaign promises are done.

No investigation to who used the chemical weapons and missiles used immediately. Wanting Assad overthrown but with no clear alternativw means you are looking at ISISistan next to Israel.

This is a proxy war move. Trying to establish a Sunni religious government in Syria after Saudi/US were taking L's in Yemen and Iraq.

I don't think he even understands the problem with using nukes. He's said several times, "if we have nukes, why can't we use them", he wants to increase our stockpile from greater than 6800 because Russia has more at 7000. I think in his mind a nuke is like a big bomb that does what a normal millitary weapon would do, without understanding the severe consequence from using even 1. How do you think Trump would have handled a Bay of Pigs scenario if he was in Kennedy's shoes? We wouldn't be having this discussion at the moment.

The reality is we do have the military capacity to defeat both Assad, and ISIS.
You don't have to choose one over the other.

Comparing George W. Bush's potato handling of post-Hussein Iraq to a potential post-Assad Syria is short sighted. There was little multinational support in Iraq, Syria has a lot of multinational support, and as long as you're not going to cave to media pressure at home, you'll get chit done abroad.
