Not to minimize that effort but in a group of 8 fast guys like that only a few are working at a time. Lots of towing going on, usually, as it should be.

Just so newer guys aren't thinking they need to become superman to ride in a group like that.

^^^^^ agreed.

The format of this ride is basically the faster, stronger (or rested) guys periodically sprinting off of the front and the remaining group chasing them down. Typically we'll start with about 15-20 people, with only about half finishing with the lead group.

Definitely several mph slower on solo rides.

On my way back to work today I was driving behind a group of 6-8 guys and they were doing 25mph.... uphill. Guy in front had Calves the size of my thighs but he was doing like 120rpm lol. I know he wasn't going to keep that up long.

We need a new ideology with the core values of reason, honesty, science and secular progress over the older traditions of religion, superstition and dogmatic faith that have long defined humanity. We will never be free to progress and advance until the last stone from the last church is cast down onto the last priest. And every equivalent.

For the dudes who are suffering from the numbness in the sack, I had the same issue. I know saddles are a personal thing but I went through like 6 saddles and then my LBS had me try the Specialized Power Comp. The nose is slightly smaller than the majority of saddles, so if you're like me and hang low this is a godsend.

Gonna buy another for my Cinelli. God speed gents

A combination of anatomy, weight, climate, and time in the saddle. Fortunately, I've never have any lasting saddle related issue. Then again, I know my limit (4 hours). Even less if the road gets bumpy. I figure that has a lot to do with it.

Getting the "strata bug" again. Busted out 57 today, went for a PR on a famous climb here in So-Cal. Beat my old time PR by a landslide and ended up Top 400/20,000 riders. Feltgoodman.
Almost makes me want to get a power meter again..

Spoiler!

Some Scenery... and then the flat!

Love my Specialized Roman Evo Saddle, one of the few specialized products that I'll purchase.

My ass does not get sore in the saddle. It is about 20 min post cycle that my balls need a mouth massage.

Thanks for the recommendation, it's only really since I've been getting in the drops a bit more, so I may try dropping the nose of my saddle a degree or two and see how I go.

It's not uncomfortable, I am just very aware that when I give the little fella a scratch, I can't feel a thing!

Anyone had their girls talk to them about freezing sperm>? Mine did this weekend lol

Shredded a ton of gravel and dirt single track on the Merlin today. Love being able to ride anything and not worry about it. I was slightly concerned about rocks chipping them but so far the Enve 3.4's have done amazing and stayed looking new. The braking lazer beams are beautiful.

They're known to be pretty durable wheels, but it's stupid no doubt. I won't do it many more times, if I know im gonna be offroading ill put my dura ace wheels back on in the future.

Thanks.
Sure I took plenty of pictures.

Here's how every ride started: from the coast of puerto pollensa where our hotel was:

Our first ride went to cap formentor... just hnnngh scenery everywhere you look

One of the many coffee stops:

Little bit of route planning before our ride. The hotel we were staying in consisted 95% out of cyclists lol. Generally on that island there are in some areas twice as much road bikes as cars.

Our "recovery ride" up to Puig de Sant Salvador (mountain in the distance)... the ride turned out to be almost 150 km and 1500 meters elevation.

This is a little impression of sa calobra... just google it and look at the pictures. feels like in a rollercoaster descending this:

The whole camp was so awesome, will go next year again thats 100% sure.
