Insecurity is almost always ranked as the most unattractive quality in the other sex. I am surprised you lose all that weight and it didn't boost your confidence at all. Mine went sky high.
The reason I have yet to get laid is due to my looks. My personality has changed over the years due to how people have treated me. I am insecure, it is a issue I have yet to resolve. I received the highest score you can get on a work eval this year but in the comments section it is ( must work on increasing confidence). This irritates the fuk out of me not only because I do not know how to fix it but because I feel it would not cause a significant change in my performance.
I believe losing weight would have boosted my confidence if there was noticeable positive changes it caused but I did not notice any. Congrats on your transformation
