The average American will gain about one pound of additional weight each year from age 25, or 35 additional pounds by the age of 60; because we typically also lose about a half pound of bone and muscle mass each year -- unless we're physically active, of course -- then our body fat is increasing by 1.5 pounds each year.

I visited Japan and despite them being shorter in stature and gyms being a rarity, fat people literally don't exist. That's what happens when you have a diet based on fish, rice, and noodles with proper portion sizes. They can't go to costco and buy bulk packages of processed food. Also they take public transit so they're constantly walking places.

America should take notes: consume less, walk more.

The answers always been there, but it requires self-control and responsibility. Something lacking in today's Western world because all people see is "It's not you, you're special the way you are" sentiment being slammed in their face 24/7.

Start out with a good metabolism and athletic/fit while in HS and at the start of college. Generalized statement but true and repped. The other issue is it's difficult to tell someone you presumably love that they are ****ing ugly and the only thing keeping you attracted was their physique. That could make or break them as a person, particularly if they love you. A lot of people don't have the guts to risk breaking a person at the expense of their happiness.with that being said, you shouldn't get morbidly obese after pregnancy. That's just some form depression and neglect. **** that ****. A few extra pounds? Sure. But like 30+ that's ****ed up.

Can confirm. Its absolutely amazing to see some of the girls I went to school with. I'm glad I didn't have any questionable kids with them because I'd be embarrassed now for them to take me on Maury for a DNA test. Years ago I was proud to have smashed.

Another aspect is the myth that men can age and be fat and still be attractive. Therefore all women should be able to as well, and anything less is a double standard.

Sure, fat men can still snare a HBB... if they're powerful and wealthy. The server at your local Macca's ain't getting more distinguished as he ages. Your friendly local coal miner isn't still lining up the tail when he gets old and fat. It's the apex fallacy - the experience of the elite of a group is presumed to be typical of the entire group.

The elephant in the room, and the stimulus for the myth to begin with, is women are attracted to power. Feminists don't like this line of reasoning because it presupposes a difference between the sexes and lends weight to a fair few general observations feminists would rather people generally not observe. So, the response is *men in general* just grow more attractive as they age and weight is no impediment. This allows for the observable truth fat old men are often with hot tail, while obscuring the underlying reason, being that all those men are powerful and wealthy and score the hot tail because women find that attractive.

Of course the truth is overweight men are transparent but overweight girls have no problems attracting attention. It mightn't be the attention of the powerful men they want but cry me a river.

Lettuce brew real stew here fellas. This is only good up to a point before our dating pool tips.

For example, this stops being an advantage around 35. If you're <35 and in good shape you get prime pickings of the 25 - 28 dating market. You're more mature, further off in your career with more money, and you're seen as a better option because by 26 girls are tired of getting ran through by the "bad boys". Beyond 35, the older 20's girls aren't really checking for you as much, because there's still younger options in abundance. At 35+ you now have to up your dating range to 28-33 where you now are presented with women with tons of more children, divorce, damaged goods baggage.

Unless you're on dat der George Clooney time and can pick out the rarest of career focused, low baggage, intelligent diamonds... I have a feeling casual dating will suck balls beyond 35.

In what world does a 35 year old male with everything together not have his pick of young 20s? lol. How many women @ 35 look good compared to men? Any female slowly getting out of the club phase is going to go for that older+richer look, but a 35 year old male can easily pass looks wise for early 20s too. I see women flirt with my father all the time, he is in shape, successful, intelligent, and knows how to talk to people. He'd have no problems, and he legit looks 15 years younger than his age. Yeah sure, your chances go down if you LOOK your age and don't have a career to match it, but most men are much more highly motivated as they age. I see early 20s women married with guys in their 40s, it's not even a "George Clooney" syndrome, it's just a fit guy who took care of his looks and has a solid profession.

The power always swings back to the male, that's why I just cringe at all this IG/club groups being fussy thinking the world is theirs, they will nearly ALWAYS crash hard in their mid 20s because they will soon realize you need to work hard to stay fit/healthy and you need to work hard to set yourself up financially. I couldn't care less if a lazy woman who no value other than age rejects me, I am going to have access to women for a long time because I am going to take care of my health and money.
