two landfalls? oh gawd.

let's see how accurate their predictions turn out to be. I happen to remember the hurricane last year near florida that was supposed to be "absolutely devastating" and make landfall but it just skirted up the coastline and weakened before making a much more feeble landfall near south carolina.

Austin is fun to visit but fuk the traffic. I-35 is a parking lot when I try to go through there.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now out numbered by those who vote for a living.

oh and about the san antonio conversation. charles barkley said it's full of a bunch of fat bishes that eat churros all day. is that true?
San Anto is trash. Nothing compared to Houston

My mind is blown every time I go to Austin. The comparison is day and night.
I think that's typical for any downtown area. lots of hobos, winos, homeless people begging for money. Here in Houston, they're at gas stations all across town as well. You cant ever pump gas without getting bombarded with someone trying to ask for money, sell you a sad story about how they came from out of town and ran out of gas, someone trying to wash your windows or pump your gas, or someone trying to sell you their mixed tape.

It's officially a major hurricane with 120 mph winds. The big issue with this storm will be flooding because it's stuck between two high pressure systems. This is the Euro model for rainfall which is considered one of the best.

I've got really bad feelings about this. I think some folks are about to die because they didn't take the warnings and evacuations seriously enough. If you are in the path get out of there. Tropical Cyclones are amazingly efficient at killing people who are in the wrong spot. This will be like Allison IMO.

Interesting prediction since these fukers are wrong all the time.
Yeah they said the same chit last year with Matthew. Was supposed to ride the florida coast and then loop around and hit Miami again. Ended up being a pussy storm that barely even hit Florida lol

I remember my first hurricane me and my friends loaded up on beer and threw a hurricane party. After the storm rolled through we drove about an hour away and spent our last dollars on more beer and a decent meal at waffle house. We would have been screwed if the Red Cross didn't offer free meals the next couple days because there was nothing to eat. Thankfully it wasn't a bad hurricane (George)

If it's anything like Katrina prepare your anus. You'll be eating MRE meals the next month or two.

Let's hope this one is a pussy storm too. To me it's kind of like snake bites. You don't really want to have contests comparing the pain. FWIW Matthew hit in October not August. August in Texas after a hurricane is brutal heat wise without AC.

My wife had given birth just a few months before Rita hit and it was so fuking hot we were worried it was gonna hurt the baby. I sent her north to her grandparents who had power and stayed behind to watch the house. I just laid on the living room floor at night buck naked and sweating like a slave, trying to at least get a little sleep. Was not a good time.
