Max repair i paid was 300$. My mercedes got 175k miles and i dont even bother change oil or filter car runs better than any new shatmobile..from 120k to 175k i havent spent a penny in repairs lol
People are insanely dumb and still falling for the "import parts cost more" BS.

If you spend 12k for a repair then that was never your money to begin with. You were just holding if for the next guy.

A lot of expensive cars from a few years ago were too much money for me to afford at the time, but I could afford them now. If you pick up a car you like and you enjoy driving it then I don't really see the problem to be honest OP.

Exactly man. I usualy buy parts myself jist pay for labour. I always do research beforr how long how much i will cost. Mechanics hate me.

Cat pqrts arent even that expensive lol. It just mechanics charge 200$ an hour +

Ive owned fully loaded Audi A4s for the past 9 years (2 of them). Nothing but problems. My 2012 started burning tons of oil around 40-50k, used to add a quart every week and nothing from Audi until they lost a class action lawsuit over it. By then my engine was basically toast and I was past their extended warranty Kms. Also their timing chain tensioner is known to fail at any kms because of poor design. Never again. Thats why I got a Lexus now

In 2004 a 1996 Porsche 911 turbo was 55-60k, right now that same car goes for 200k+

Not sure how that would have been a terrible financial decision

Edit: NVM actually read OP about the collector stuff blah blah

What model is the 08 Porsche? And how many miles on the clock?

I saw a really good deal I was tempted on an 08 Porsche with about 50K on the clock, full service history, 1 owner, recently had new brake pads and tyres.

I didn't get it in the end, but had I not been looking at houses for potential future investment, I would have probably done. How much would you say I need to factor in for maintenance?

This was a 2700cc (2.7L) Boxster btw, what are the most unreliable parts from your experience?

There isn't. Its also more environmentally friendly as well as more financially prudent.
