There were bb guns in my neighborhood but never in the school. All the fights were after school. I heard of fights where knives were involved but never any stories of anyone getting stabbed or even police involvement.

There were some pretty rough kids that needed to be manhandled out of class but they'd get suspended and we'd never see them again.

On the other hand, I spend my after school time in band practice so I have to admit I was pretty clueless as to any roughness that was going on.

Actually, that's pretty racist. My mom was a school teacher and my sister still teaches elementary school. I also helped my godmother with her daycare. I can assure you that bad parenting is not color specific. They come in all colors, sizes, and shapes.

Now that you know the truth, if you ever say something like that again it won't be because you didn't know any better.
