He's an inspiration. The man lived a full life, despite having a serious medical condition, and contributed greatly to the sum of human knowledge. He'll be talked about in the same vein as Einstein and Newton. Basically, he's immortal now. R.I.P. Professor Hawkings.

So you believe Hawking or his family did something to deserve him having ALS? That opinion speaks for itself, nothing more to really understand and only reinforces my original opinion. Fyi, I know it’s not where you were going with it, but ALS isnt even passed down genetically, it is caused by a random genetic mutation.

Genuinely cannot believe the ignorance and confirmation bias religious nuts have.

Do 5 minutes of critical thinking, think objectively, don't think about what you wan't to be right, think about whether religion and your god is likely to be real out of the thousand of gods there is, think about why young children get bone cancer, is it more likely to be completely random and terrible luck, or is it a CURSE PASSED DOWN FROM YOUR ANCESTORS.

The scientific community has been trying to deny God since the beginning of time. Now more than ever they're making up stuff to justify their own agendas so they can attempt to understand our existence.

I'm genuinely curious what guys like you are going to do with themselves when in a couple decades or less a person can move their consciousness into a machine or we have longevity escape velocity and humans will have indefinite lifespans. Will probably shatter your worldview so hard you won't be able to cope with it.
