Not surprisingly he was an atheist. He better hope he was right, otherwise he's in for a hell of a lot more suffering than he had in this life (pun intended).

He's an inspiration. The man lived a full life, despite having a serious medical condition, and contributed greatly to the sum of human knowledge. He'll be talked about in the same vein as Einstein and Newton. Basically, he's immortal now. R.I.P. Professor Hawkings.

I was feeling sorry for myself this morning and then thought about what Hawking accomplished under the circumstances he was given and thought to myself what a an fool I was.

Do 5 minutes of critical thinking, think objectively, don't think about what you wan't to be right, think about whether religion and your god is likely to be real out of the thousand of gods there is, think about why young children get bone cancer, is it more likely to be completely random and terrible luck, or is it a CURSE PASSED DOWN FROM YOUR ANCESTORS.

There is a higher being and the fact that science can't prove how we became is a direct testament that we simply cannot and will never fully understand God.
That being said perhaps his purpose in life was to inspire people through his disability and intellect despite denying God.

Yes, I've read the bible. Old and New. Extensively. Also the Quran and some others briefly.
The fact you obviously don't understand Darwin's evolution is hilarous, funny how theists love to not read anything other then there little book that approves of racist and genocidal acts.
We came from the same common ancestor.
The amount and severity of mythology is absolutely absurd to try compare to evolution.
You really shouldn't of brought religion into this.

The scientific community has been trying to deny God since the beginning of time. Now more than ever they're making up stuff to justify their own agendas so they can attempt to understand our existence.

You're not even one of the more intellectual religious debaters. Claiming science is making things up because you can't accept what the truth is.
Calling SCIENCE out, for making up stuff. Yet they base there beliefs off of scripture written, re-written, and interpreted numerous times. You're an atheist just like me, I just believe in one less god then you do buddy.
The delusions and hypocritical ideology's of theists never cease to amaze me.
Have fun with being brainwashed.
