That's, uh, that may or may not have already happened and is already popular and may or may not be a hidden bannable offence to mention. It's not really a great place IMO. Honestly I think everyone should post for a bit over there just to see the logical conclusion of what a lack of moderation leads to in this type of community. Basically it amounts to endless car-salesman red-pill posts & gear talk. Those two topics only go so far for entertainment but they poison the well for every single fookin discussion. You can't talk about fookin coffee makers without having car salesman come in there a chit talk women.

Moderation is necessary for making sure every individual topic discussion doesn't turn into the most board popular topic. This is something Reddit doesn't understand as everything is weighed by popularity thus biasing it towards board topic appeal and fooking up any meaningful development of sub-topics. This is why forums are still kicking around a little bit. BB.com has had a good sense of moderation in the past honestly.

The only reason I ever bought anything from bb.com is the misc and they have really phukked that up by over-moderating it. Just my opinion. I buy more eco-friendly products on Amazon now.

This place has already been replaced by the various spinoff misc boards, along with /fit/ and places like that. Sad to see it slip into irrelevance but that's what bad management and bad modding leads to.

Anyone else fondly remember the DeLuca years?

Here's the problem: This place used to be for lifters. Lifters would use their store for their supps. Nowadays, this place doesn't cater to lifters, it's all numale reddit ****wads. They aren't going to buy **** from the store. The authoritarian moderators, not all, but enough to get most long-time users banned for BS reasons, sparking regular mass exoduses to alternative forums, that didn't help either.

Honestly, I do think it comes down to the moderation. People who actually lift, they tend to have thicker skin, they can take a joke, they don't get triggered over every little thing, they scoff at ****'ing out every other word. This place gravitated to a more controlled, less free politically correct "safe space" zone, regulars were forced out and an influx of pathetic soy non-lifters who used to get run out happened. In the older days, pansies would be ostracized, negged to oblivion and would eventually cry and leave. In 2018, they run the show. If anyone scoffs them, they're banned and now there are enough of them that they are the majority.

What is worse, the "solution" to the problem will be, as it always is: MORE safe-space, MORE politically correct nonsense and MORE authoritarianism/banning/censoring. Wonder how that'll work out for their sales #s (hint: it's time to take out some puts on BB.com)

Edit: yeah, some of the drop is likely due to Amazon competition and they probably should have put more effort into their clothing line, but at the end of the day, when you make a benign safe-space censor zone and run off regulars, who ****ing lifted, to pave the way for limp-wristed genZ dickless *******s, you reap what you sow.

I stopped ordering everything from this place once they stopped carrying anything with DMAA in it. I want to order any supplements from 1 source so if I can't get a single item from BB.com I'll move all my orders elsewhere. They fuked up good and it was precisely at the moment amazon was in position to burn them to the ground.

The industry is dying. People are shopping online, and not just online but they demand free shipping. Shipping a 5lb bag of protein is expensive. Very expensive. For example, my shipping cost to send a 5LB protein across canada was 24.99... nobody wants to pay that. The only people who can do that is amazon and still make a profit.

Everyone loves amazon so much but don't see that it will be the end of all small businesses.

Don't forget that amazon is a logistics company before anything else.

You notice the amazon basics section? Basically they look at their back end and see what the best selling items are, and then they launch their own version for way cheaper. They just announced they are going to start selling dog food.

They don't treat amazon sellers well, and make them assume all risk and pay more of the shipping costs... and then take a massive cut.

Eventually they will manufacture everything themselves and kick sellers out if they get their way.


but..... free prime shipping I guess.

1. you cant even make a remote joke around here without getting banned. I made a sarcastic comment about "cell-tech" and got ban and a mod neg (Not that I care anyway). However, wow, there used to be an AAS forum here for crying out loud.

2. People in general have started to figure out that supplements, in general, are worthless bullchit. Over-priced, under-dosed, garbage. Ever since they banned ephedra, dmaa, etc nothing works.
