The arguments for renting are:
-ease of moving
-maintenance included
-no lawn to mow
-cheaper access to good locations

That being said, I think the benefits of owning outweigh those of renting
And relief washes over me in an awesome wave

1000 sq ft Apartment i was living in 3 years ago west of Atlanta was $725/month.. I just looked it up, it's being rented for $1100 now. 3 ****ing years it is 1.5x the rent.
What sucks about apartments especially in the ATL area is that unless you overpay, you end up in the section 8 zone. They may not be section 8, but you have people who are getting assistance and they are almost as bad as the section 8 people. So, you have to pay an too much so you can get away from that, and by this point, you might as well just buy.

My girl and I got an apartment in Villa Rica, GA and when we first moved in it was a nice place, rent was in the mid 600's. We moved when it got over 800. Just looked it up, $1,026/mo for a 2br.

Renting is cheaper than owning and you will get far more wealthy investing the difference than you will sitting stuck in one place for the next 10+ years paying interest to the banks who are gifted money out of thin air lol. Now if you're buying and having someone pay the mortgage that is a different story. And just lol at comparing housing/shelter costs to food or gas
