She became a cop?

Not surprised she cheated. I had a bro whose wife did a stint in the PED detail (hooker) and her sergeant walked in on her and another officer fukkin in their office

Soon as she became a cop it was game over bro.

Sorry boyo

this always happens to anyone that gets married that early, always. Even to those who say "we are different".

She spent a good bit of our time talking about her husband lacking ambition, having the same job since they've known each other, and her not being able to pursue her music career. I felt kind of bad. She was looking at me with these big eyes and I thought she was attractive.

I ended up exchanging contact info with her.The female friend she was with was saying that she should divorce her husband and find men like me out in the world (srs). I legit felt bad for the dude. Part of me could try and pursue this woman, but I don't want to contribute to the statistic of divorces, broken families, custody battles, etc. **** that.
Things always appear better on the exterior. She could leave her husband for some guy supposedly like you. Eight years and two kids later she'll be out griping about that guy to someone else

That's not 100% true. I know many couples who married young that are still going strong, after even a decade or 2.

For example, if the cheating spouse spent thousands of dollars of marital assets to buy gifts for his or her lover, or to pay for expensive hotel rooms during the affair, a judge may take this into considering when dividing assets between the spouses.

Call another lawyer. A real one this time.
Do you understand the difference between what constitutes as property, and what constitutes as alimony/child support/monetary payments?

fuks sake. this was already posted last page. just fukin read, then stop being such an obtuse motherfuker that you have to come in here and try to tell him how his laws work, which he's already discussed with a lawyer.

This thread is great for separating the upstanding, decent miscers, from the ones who belong in the reddit/4chan cesspool. Takes a real chitty type of person to come in here and laugh at a man who's been betrayed by the one person who wasn't supposed to, and try to talk down on him for it, rather than helping him rebuild what he's lost.

Mirin OP.
You seem so calm dude. I'd honestly be having a fuking melt down - I don't think I could cope with that level of betrayal. I don't even want to think about what I would do in your position. srs.

Really sucks that there is a child in the picture too. Unfortunately, that selfish bitch ex wife of yours just decided to try and fuk up your child's life as well as yours. Divorce can really fuk up children. I pray that this does not have a lasting detrimental affect on your child.

There are quality women out there, just looks like you were manipulated into marrying a selfish whore. It's nothing to do with you, it's her problem. She is a degenerate pile of piss.
By the way does she come from a broken home herself?

Best of luck with it anyway man and I wish you the best. Hope you can get custody of your child.

Yeah they take a lot of work on BOTH sides. I felt bad how they were talking about the dude. She was telling me how had she known what she knew now she would have done stuff differently. My mother and stepfather for together for almost 25 years and literally separated by death. It wasn't easy between layoffs, moves, health issues, arguments, etc. I know it. They were there for each other for it and loved each other. I hope to God I can emulate that but man our generation is ME ME ME individualistic it sucks.

Fuc reading 6 pages, but wasn't there any signs op?

Like her going to gym when she didn't before, buying sexy underwear, staying out late, going away for a night because of work, catching her lying about things?

Or were there no signs at all?

in b4 OP's ex has a dirty lawyer and OP gets hit with a restraining order. then it's off to family court where the judge DGAF about the woman cheating anymore and she rakes you over the coals. Divorce is brutal, you are being naive if you think you won't be paying out BIGLY for this.

LOL at how every single one of you are in here worrying about the costs of the divorce. I would genuinely be more worried about making sure I get to see my child as much as possible in OPs position.

If I had a choice between maximising money or maximising the amount of time spent with my own flesh and blood........ fuk the money.

California has a system where there are no genders inputted, everything gets put in a calculator and spit out who pays what based on childs time together. My ex seems to think im going to pay 20-40% of my pay to her. Meanwhile i am just sitting her grinning because if i push it based on her making over 20k more a year than me she will have to pay me almost 500 a month

Plus she has to pay me 80-100k from the equity in the house
