What if someone kills a bear, eats the meat and keeps the pelt? Or hunts a moose for meat and keeps the antlers as trophy?

Alpha as fuk

This life is about raping and ravaging resources for your own personal pleasure and gain.. don’t forget that

It’s about getting that adrenaline rush and satisfaction without giving a fuk about the consequences

You really think these animals will exist in the wild in a few hundred years regardless if guys like this hunt or not?

Nature’s tour is over! Let that sink in

I'm not a hunter, never hunted, nor will I ever. Also don't fish. But I don't see anything wrong with it. Seems no different then people that kill a deer and pose with that, or a fish. Arguably something like this is better as it funds the country and helps feed the locals.

Also don't really get the hate on him or saying it's not normal. I mean he does look like a *******. Males are wired to want to be the dominate or more powerful person. What makes someone feel more dominating than killing a beast that is way more physically powerful than you. If anything that's more normal than getting joy out of building models, or painting tiny toy figures. Just because you don't enjoy something doesn't mean a different normal person wont enjoy it. I feel like the money it costs is the reason for the hate on it. An easy excuse to hate on the rich. If it was affordable, no doubt that majority of the hunters across NA would be doing it in a heart beat, making it similar to hunting deer. I've noticed a lot of people that hate on this type of thing are the same people that hate capitalism as well.

Ok I’m as anti-liberal as they come, but if you brag and post a picture of killing a whole family of animals, then you have a mental disorder, dead srs. This is one phucked up individual.

There are people that want you to believe there are 500 genders and if you don’t accept it you need to be submitted to a re-education camp

There are people that want to give children sex hormones at 5 years old

There are people that want to ban men from owning weapons when throughout 99.9999% of human history only slaves were disarmed

This is hardly “****ed up”

I find it odd, but relatively OK, assuming they were hunting to eat not for fun (obviously the end result is the same anyway, however just speaking to how ****ed up the person may be), as long as it's something that's OK to hunt and is not dwindling in numbers.

Sounds like that might be the case with baboons in this situation? That's there a butt load of them and it's a pain? In such case I guess I'm fine with them being culled but that doesn't make this guy and any like him any less ****ed up.

I think that's what bothers me the most. Kill a deer, bear, etc...post a picture ok I guess...but an entire family and prop up all the dead bodies and smile big.

Yeah I don't know...
You have that reaction because of your feelings, not because what he's doing is any different from any other type of legal hunting. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being compassionate and having an aversion to seeing dead animals put on display but you have to be rational. In nature, human feels aside, a dead giraffe is no different from a dead deer or a mosquito you swat simply because it's annoying you.

If a person is going to be a big game hunter and hunt carnivorous animals... They should go at it with just a hunting knife.

Where's the challenge in using a rifle?

Guy isgamecommisioner which obviously includes hunting etc.

The only issue I have is the glorification of it, as some of the more appalled posters have pointed out, his unabashed smile is a little off-putting, and leaning of the rifle against the corpse of the giraffe in the foreground is a bit disconcerting.

However, this is the food chain and the circle of life. I would prefer if he had a more stoic look on his face and kept the weapon in the background at least. I eat meat and this is a grim reminder that something has to die to help keep me alive and vital.

Ok genius, hunting endangered species and bragging about killing an entire family are both deranged. The fact that you posted a fishing picture is retarded, because I'm assuming they aren't endangered. Now GO BACK TO THE OCEAN YOU WHALE

This alpha doesn’t care what facial expression you’d prefer him to have - he’s travelling the world to exotic locales killing beasts from the far corners of the earth of which many of us will never even get to see caged in a zoo, while being hailed as a hero by the local villagers, accepting their delicassies and daughters as reward.

Actually neither of those animals have hit Endangered level conservation status in Africa. Giraffes are vulnerable though, and Leopards are generally endangered in other parts of the world.

I'll agree with you that the giraffe and leopard prob didn't need to die, and it would have been better if he'd left them alone. But that's a personal opinion and subjective.

This is an absolute travesty..fukin devestating..this dude needs to resign.

In other news, an airstrike accidently struck a school today, no survivors.

And now the weather!
Survival. When the jungle tears itself down and builds itself into something new. Guys like you and me, we end up dead. Doesn’t really mean anything. Or, if we happen to live through it, well that doesn’t mean anything either.

He's not being asked to step down because he went hunting in Africa. Former game commissioners are taking issue with the tone/content of the email he fired off, saying its potentially damaging to the sport and to these types of organizations

Hunters have been catching a lot of flak lately and he's sending off emails describing "shooting a whole family of baboons". Dude is either a legit idiot or hewants negative attention. Either way, he probably shouldn't be in that position

i could never understand this

people always have excuses and say its natural but i dont see myself wanted to kill a baboon or leopard to "eat" which is their excuse most of the time.
no reason to kill these animals

hunting with a giant gun or super crossbow isnt manly
