I have kids and I spend plenty of time with them each and every day.

You are tired because you don't lift, you probably don't sleep right, you probably don't eat right and for many other reasons. If you just want to say it's not important, then say it, but don't lie about being too busy. Anyone can make 30-60 minutes 3 times a week.

Spending some time exercising is a boon to your health, your sleep at night, feeling better, having more energy and other quality of life improvements. You're just too lazy and mentally weak to do it, which is a shame for you because if you did, you would be a better person for it.

They're already married so their tours already over anyway. If I had a nagging bish on my case 24/7 I'd be stuffing my face with high caloric junk food wishing for an early grave also.

they fall into the rabbit hole of stress and work overload - they are incompetent with managing their health, status, growth and no longer have any real motivation to do anything productive besides work 9-5

these are the same people that were drinking and partying every weekend during their early 20's and had no hopes and aspirations of being or doing anything special in the future. they are also the same people the work the same desk job/tradie job for 10-20+ years
livin life to the fullest eh

Lol its the totally opposite with me. Was never a person that worked out in my younger days even into my early 30's. Been at it since 37 and just turned 40. Just never really appealed to me, but i do it now to stay healthy and fit and live a long life. Could care less about benching 315 and squatting 550

same can be said about most people.

why dont teenagers spend more time in the gym/doing physical activities?
why dont people in their 20s spend more time in the gym/doing physical activities?
why dont people in their 30s spend more time in the gym/doing physical activities?
why dont people in their 40s spend more time in the gym/doing physical activities?
why dont people in their 50s spend more time in the gym/doing physical activities?

people have difference priorities in life. be thankful that most people dont lift, otherwise the gym would be full

I've been lifting consistently since I was 19, so it's just ingrained in me to continue to doing so even into my 30s. However it was the same when I was younger, I did it because it's what I enjoyed, whilst a lot of my peers, even when we were in our 20s, would rather be doing other things with their time.

It's the habits you form in your 20s that continue into your 30s and beyond.

If you've never had a penchant for working out/exercise in your 20s, there's little chance that will change in your 30s, especially as life becomes more demanding in respect of career, family etc.

The Tour isn't over until one stops breathing.
She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

I would like to add this. I think more older women hit the gym more than older men.

I take a spin class as well as some other exercise classes to get my cardio in and just the overall exercise in as I do a sedentary job. It's mostly women, which I must admit surprises me. Even when you factor in the guys in the weight room, I would bet that the majority of people going to our gym are women.

I found lifting in my 30s. I had tried it before but never understood what the hell I was doing. Now I really enjoy it, and am making progress.

In my office I sit next to a guy who is a few years younger than me and is a living behemoth - huge fat rolls, morbidly obese. As soon as he arrives in the morning he is carrying a bag of pastries, he snacks on Kinder sweets all morning, throws out (sometimes) the sandwich he brings from home to go to McDs for lunch. And when I go to the gym during lunch he says: "I used to go to the gym but I have no time any more".

I'm not saying someone has to go to the gym - it's not the only way to live an active lifestyle. But the vast number of people in their 30s, 40s and so on who are no longer physically active is the scary thing here.
