Of course people treat attractive people differently compared to ugly or average people. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional and maybe even retarded.

This should be common knowledge by now.

I read somewhere that a person who's attractive who goes to an interview will get the job over someone who's ugly.

Looks aren't everything but they do matter (to a pretty high degree)

Man for every story about good looking person gettin the job, there's a story about a good looking man having his progress stunted because of his looks.

Good looking girls are usually hated by other girls and good looking men are sometimes hated by other men. It's called envy. So while most people generally want to be around good looking people there are always those certain people that despise them.

Lol at the massive cope that people are nice to ugly women.

How can you be a miscer and actually think that? You guys are absolutely brutal. And men in general seem to love to put down ugly women’s looks, maybe it makes them feel better about being rejected by HBBs or maybe they just don’t see an ugly chick as having any worth whatsoever.

Ugly men and ugly women will both struggle to attract the partners they want but an ugly woman will struggle to get jobs or be valued by society as a whole.

I have seen firsthand women be denied jobs because people want to hire cute women to look at all day, and they didn’t make the cut. When’s the last time you saw an ugly receptionist or waitress at a nice establishment?

A woman is constantly told her value is in how she looks. Men aren’t, at least not to the same degree.

I’d rather be judged on how useful I am than what I look like, tbh. You can control the first one more.
Be patient like the mountain. And you will learn to be strong.

If you've always been above average in terms of looks, this isn't something you're likely to notice. But for the first 18-20 years of my life, I was practically invisible to women, with 1 or 2 obvious exceptions. I was 6' 160 pounds, but hadn't voluntarily worked out a day in my life and couldn't bench 60 pounds. Couldn't do 1 single chin up. Had a sizable patch of fat on my belly, a hideous pudding bowl haircut, and exclusively wore oversized graphic tees and gym shorts. Only shoes I wore were white Nike dad shoes when I started university.

I dramatically changed from 20-22, and in the process got into my first ltr, fell in love, and lost my virginity. I learned how to dress well, started working out and packed on some muscle, got a good haircut and learned to gel my hair properly, learned how to properly groom myself, etc. etc. etc. My friends and former roommate all say they've never seen anyone change more during university than me. 6' 180 pounds now, but less body fat and more muscle than ever before by a lot.

Holy sh* t brahs hooooly sh*t. Difference in how women treat you is night and day. I've gotten more compliments from women over my appearance in the last 2 months than in the first 18 years of my life. But that's not what this is about, it's about just the general way women treat you

I remember when I started university, and all through high school, women rarely would make eye contact when I'd talk to them, they'd almost never laugh at my jokes, and just in general would seem very disinterested when I'd talk to them. I always coped by thinking "hey she just doesn't want to lead me on, she isn't being a b*tch on purpose"

Now they're constantly making eye contact and smiling when I talk to them, I catch them staring at me when I'm in the library, they actually laugh at my jokes, they feel comfortable hugging me and touching my arm and sh*t. You'd think this would make me happier, and it does in a lot of ways obviously, but it's also made me more cynical. I'm exactly the same person inside I was before, just better looking.

In other words, to people who say women don't value physical appearance (women say this too), that is PURE COPE.

Now obviously if they take care of their appearance they want a dude who does too. And they're more likely to appreciate attention from a good looking dude.

But we're taught from a young age this idea that women are somehow less superficial than men, that they care more about personality. My very drastic transformation in appearance has taught me that this is a lie. I lived the life of a video game playing FA nerd for 18 years, so I know just how untrue that can be.

Thoughts?

tldr:
-FA socially awkward ugly nerd for first 18-19 years of my life
-Started drastically improving in physical appearance junior-senior year of university
-Got into first LTR, women started actually acknowledging I exist
-Women no longer seem grumpy and perpetually pissed off and annoyed when I talk to them, they actually laugh at my jokes, make eye contact, smile, etc. etc. etc.
-more cynical now because of it
Pretty sure the fact that your height is 6' had everything to do with your story turning out well.

Wonder how it would have turned out if you had been 5'9 or less.

You would have probably rented a van, srs.

My buddy in college was probably one of the best looking guys I've seen (Brad Pitt level of good looks - dead srs). The way women treated him made it clear to me that I wasnt good looking...

BUT...Most men dont do anything to make themselves truly desirable. They go to the gym and work out, buy halfway decent clothes, an entry level sports car, live in their parents basement and wonder why they arent covered up with women....They cry about only good looking guys getting the women but the real and honest reason they cant get women is because they are boring cookie cutter versions of the rest of the male population.

I spent my college days bartending in the busiest club in the city, was in a touring band, owned my own house and managed a hiking backpacking club. I made my self interesting and desirable. I didnt get NEARLY the attention my good looking friend did but I had JUST as many dates with girls in the same league.....Men want to go "buy" desirability but they dont actually do anything to make themselves wanted....H*ll half of men cant carry on a decent conversation and are socially awkward...

Exactly. Have also had good looking friends. Guess what? Nothing happens if the guy doesnt want to make chit happen

Women are much more keen on body language so if you show no interest, unless youve been around this girl and she knows you more and is infatuated, shes not gonna keep staring and stuff for fear of looking desparate/ like a sloot

Theyre trying to convince the guy theyre after theyre worth it, one of their biggest fears is looking like a sloot

Unless youre in a pure sex environment though

Most women can literally smell the "I cant get a date" vibe most men put off. Women want a man that is desired by other women. Women desire good looking, active, interesting, rich and powerful men. If you arent good looking then you need to find another trait that women find valuable and go after it.

Im a HUGE proponent of getting yourself involved in something you love and find interesting and attracting women that way. Im not a huge fan of chasing fame or money to get women. If you go after money/fame the relationship is built on nothing and you gunna get sloooooted on. If a women is attracted to you because of a hobby or interest, then you have base level compatibility.

I used to volunteer at my local animal shelter and retirement home...Do you know how many dates I got from female volunteers at the animal shelter and with candy stripers? A lot......and I wasnt going there to get dates. I like dogs and my grandmother was in the retirement facility....But everyone goes to the clubs and wonders why they strike out 99.9999999% of the time.

The best first dates are volunteering at a soup kitchen or walking dogs at the animal shelter. You will find out REAL fast if she is worth your time....and if she isnt worth your time go back to your interesting and amazing life until the next female walks into the picture.

...and Im married and I still live this way. If my wife cheated and slooted tomorrow I would be sad but guess what, my life would go on. I have an amazing life and my wife isnt the center of my world or happiness. I've watched too many people make their significant other their source of life hapiness and when something bad happens and its game over. Their marriage ended because they made their life about their wife and every bit of their happiness was wrapped up in her mood, feelings, etc. That isnt interesting or sexy..its co-dependent and its exactly why they got cheated on and left.

Ive faced many situations in my younger years where I was treated very brutally because I was "ugly." I don't think I am ugly but other people seem to think so apparently. Womens value depends a lot on looks so of course they will get judged harder for not looking certain way.

Being attractive is great. We tell ugly people that looks don't matter simply because we don't want to hurt their feelings. It's like being tall vs being a manlet. Or being in shape vs out of shape

That said, an ugly guy can always compensate with $$$$, while ugly women are basically out of luck.
