This is nothing against you as you work in a different capacity and can take a joke, but I know so many miscers are getting banned for many months then getting it overturned or massively reduced when contacting the forum admin, because the bans are unjustified. I'm in contact with a lot of miscers outside of this forum and many are simply leaving due to a couple of bad apple mods who are power tripping, heck even 10 mins ago I received a message from someone who mentioned 2 longstanding miscers who won't be returning for that reason.

This is a big reason why the traffic decline has been so steady since 2010, not saying it's the only reason but it is a big factor and anyone denying it is biased or has their head in the sand.

Back in the day on my first account this was like between 2006-2010 you actually had threads in the misc about working out. And nutrition and what we all cooked healthy for breakfast and dinner etc etc even though there are other sub forums on bb.com for that it was also discussed here in the misc

And yes all you get now is sloot this and sloot that and what is aloha and what isn't.

I too enjoy all types of threads and even stupid ones at times for laughs but here anymore the nonsense has become the norm and not the exception

Hell, even when I joined it was still like 40-50% lifting related stuff. The rest was a lot of legit lulzy trolling, ninja pic posts, ect.

It's a fine line with the mod stuff. If we could discuss banned substances, there'd be a whole lot more bodybuilding talk her. But I do understand why that's not practical for a website attached to a major retail business. And a lot of detective stuff ruined the ability for some of the funnier old trolling/ninja pic stuff.

Generally though, the forum has filled up with many more hostile/angry/bitter people in the last few years and a lot of the lulzy guys who actually found this place b/c they lift have left.

Just out of curiosity, when it comes to the forum's decline, do you place ANY of the blame on the Mods?

Is it improbable that users would leave due to inconsistent enforcement of forum rules? Or maybe excessive or unnecessary bans? Perhaps mods targeting specific members with frequent negs & bans pushed them out the door?

Is this at all possible? Do mods deserve any percentage of the blame in your opinion, Podunks? Or is it all just "changing times" and dopamine?

tbf there's only so much to be said about bodybuilding before it gets tedious. watch your diet, lift progressively heavier weights, (consider) using drugs and do it for a couple of years. ultimately genetics will determine the final outcome if all factors are reasonably accounted for

gym people like to get too in depth about this chit like it's a science experiment where all variables have to be attuned and adjusted precisely
