You know, I'll admit it, I'm jelly of PC players. Your brains are probably gonna explode on 92% max settings
I'm contemplating spending some dumbass money to play this game on PC. Max settings at 1440 resolution would be absolutely insane.

Hey guys, I'm clueless when it comes to gaming computers but I decided to get one for med school. I'll be using it for classes/ notes (along with an iPad) plus the occasional game (I'm mostly waiting for Cyberpunk 2077 next year).
That being said, which of these sounds like the better choice?
The new Helios Predator 300:
9th Generation Intel Core i7-9750h 6-Core Processor (Up to 4. 5GHz) with Windows 10 Home 64 Bit
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics with 6GB of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM

or the new HP omen 15
Intel Core i7-9750H Processor 2.6GHz
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB GDDR6
16GB DDR4-2666 RAM
512GB Solid State Drive
Microsoft Windows 10 Home
Multi-format Digital Media Card Reader
10/100/1000 Network
2x2 Realtek WiFi 6+Bluetooth 5.0 Combo
15.6" Full HD 144Hz IPS Anti-Glare Micro-Edge WLED-backlit Display
They're both the same price. I'm a little worried about the Omen because it apparently has some thermal/heat issues

But to answer your question, they're both similar and will probably run cp2077 within ~10 frames of each other if you were to compare the two. If they're the same price, the Omen with the 2060 and a bigger ssd is a better value imo, but I can't comment on the heat issues for these so I really don't know.
But idk man, I'm not really a fan of gaming laptops. I've seen others on the misc say they like theirs, but I've never found one that I've liked. Desktop for games + work laptop is the combo I'd recommend, but if you're on that poverty student life, I'd pick the one that is better for taking notes in class and easier to carry, not on the performance you get in games because there won't be much of a difference from these two. Just from the pics I've seen, the omen looks bulkier and heavier than the helios so maybe the helios is better for you?

What's all the hype around this one about?
Watched one of the gameplay vids and it looks like a decent shooter but I don't see why everyone is acting like it's going to be revolutionary

What's all the hype around this one about?
Watched one of the gameplay vids and it looks like a decent shooter but I don't see why everyone is acting like it's going to be revolutionary
aware me

I'm personally much more into futuristic shooter-type games than I am medieval environments, so CDPR doing one is exciting even if just for that reason

So is the hype mainly because of how esteemed the company is that is making it?

Looks like CDPR has the media train chugging along now:
https://www.guru3d.com/news-story/cy...reenshots.html
"CD Projekt Red announced close collaboration with Nvidia for the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077. For the Geforce RTX team a nice moment to create some momentum for a raytracing showcase. We have the first screenshots of Cyberpunk 2077 with raytracing active on Geforce RTX graphics cards."
Look at these fukn screenshots, though you guys might have already seen 'em (most aren't even good resolution, can't find the big versions)
Spoiler!

Time to start romancing cyber trannies. I mean, technically this would actually fit the setting considering all of the humans with "modifications".

I think it's safe to say CDPR won't be pushing any "diversity" agendas or anything in this game. Advertisements with big-dicked trannies would be a certainty in any dytopian future I can imagine
