Looking at adding to my TSLA position for earnings once it comes down.

Really glad I got in when I did. I wish I'd moved more money off the sidelines earlier.

Yes, we will probably see another drop at some point. No, there is no fukking chance we get under 20k on the Dow when it does drop. That was when we had no idea if 250k people were dying, if there was any government money or any plan to ever reopen stuff.

Btw, you're silly if you didn't profit off this pump even if you think they'll be another drop. I've made around 100 trades in the last month. Basically stop orders anywhere I was unsure of the position having a potential big downside. Am still up over 20% in a month.

There has probably been more money lost on Tesla options than any other company in the last five years. No thanks Jeff. And I own Tsla stock.

And also a ton of wealth built for it. Nobody should be using anything from the last 5 years as a bar. Whatโ€™s happening in the market now is completely unprecedented and nobody knows whatโ€™s happening. You just have to move quick and get in and out. Tesla and amazon both have more room left. Tesla is 775 right this minute. Will hit 800+ before it goes down. Get your calls in boyos.

I own Tsla as a long term position bc I do think Elon has it right and they are going to be on the forefront of a lot of industries- not even just cars.

However, it's volatile AF. They were at 250 in Nov and then 950 in January, back down to 430 in this mess. That's one thing- but also a HUGE amount of their movement lately occurs after hours. It's clearly being moved by a lot of forces outside of the view of normal options traders.

If I'm gonna take risks, I'm just gonna scalp off movement on BA or airline stocks that can't decide which direction they are headed.

Going up and down on Tesla making 20% each time personally. Interesting thing is we donโ€™t know Tesla true value from before.

Looks like itโ€™s going up big tomorrow, timed it perfectly in March, got in at 19k but got out around 22k, canโ€™t believe this run still has legs...fed will go through another round soon to prevent the next cliff dive.

That will be a good investment method. As the virus, so many industries stocks are dropping, you can get it with a low price. But you need to have enough fund to deal that.

Just lol if you aren't selling covered calls right now. Sell a 1 month ~25% otm call and get a ~10% call premium plus another 25% if it gets assigned

Keep holding. Consumer confidence is rising as everyone gets restless. Moving between stocks now doesn't make too much sense. You should at least double your money.

Definitely brah. $37k investment that is currently north of $50k market value, will go to $103k if these return to January levels. This is split between two tax-sheltered accounts, one is an RRSP (Canadian 401k) and the other is a tax-free savings account that can be withdrawn at any time.

All profits exempt from capital gains, and $32k of the initial investment (to the RRSP) netted a $12k reduction in income tax for the year

Congrats! What areas did you invest in?

I started similar time and did well (and got a bit lucky too). Have sold The lot recently and started again as I spread out too much.

Made around $24k as in here:

Are we really gonna come out of this thing with the market going 29k ->>> 18k ->>> 29k in a straight line?

Fukn nice man, good stuff

Bit of luck on my part too with one of the buys but wish I had more free cash back in the middle of March, only had $7k at the time. I grabbed CNQ @ $11 and CVE @ $3.21 averaged, both on the TSX. Both are Canadian oil -- I work in O&G. Haven't sold anything yet, most of this will be long-term dividend holds. But I might cash out the TFSA if the one stock returns to January levels, undecided about that

Portfolio was down $378K (about 2.5 years worth of gains) from the crash and have recovered $239K already, including up $28K yesterday and today. Haven't done chit since we've got our income plus cash in a MM to cover our living expenses for the next 4 years.
