I'm not going to do it, but it it's all from the NYC area, then it would be better to compare only the major cities of FL and TX.

Or compare Upstate NY and South Jersey to West/East Texas and FL Panhandle.

Some predictions for March (so long as no more states add in thousands of backlogged deaths that happened months ago, as happened with 3 states in February and first few days of March):

March 1st- 15th: 21,000 deaths
1400 daily average

March 16-31st: 13,500 deaths
844 daily average

I won't be surprised if April averages less than 500 per day, with far less restrictions than April 2020.

I know upstate NY deaths are still terrible. Take 3 counties I'm familiar with growing up containing Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse. Theclosestis a 4 hr drive to NYC.
The 3 counties they're in have a total of 2.1 million people, with over 3500 deaths so far.
1667 deaths per million. Higher than the national average. No bueno.
Edit: very rural counties in NY almost all over 1000 deaths/ million

Pretty close for the end of March. April is possible but it depends on timing. Deaths will crater within a month or two. Cases should start to fairly soon at the current rate of vaccination if Israel is any indication.

Hard to believe we’re now a year into this ****.

Worldometers double counts some data in the US (Veterans Admin, Navajo Nation, Prisons, Military) so the figures are slightly exaggerated but in the right ballpark.

Just over 100 million total infections (103 million) at the end of 2020 though, after 10 months. With 10 months of 2021 now over we've had over 200 million infections in the US. There are multiple ways we know this, including the 0.3% infection fatality rate that's been the case for a year. Safe to say we reached 2/3rds infected in the US several weeks ago, since confirmed cases are a small number of total infections.
