FOH, I actually had one of my boys come up with this **** and i ghosted his ass immediately. ive had a strong father figure alongside me and my Grandad was the same alongside my dad. Taught values and morals all the way down to me. How to fix things. How to money manage, Got me helping out with chores in the garden. He even took my ass to Judo to get that extra discipline when he felt i needed a outlet. If the Black community had father figures like him. We would be in a better place as a community. Foundations will be built upon for the family unit to succeed.

it's hardly a unique circumstance tbh. There are a huge proportion of people from all races, ages, gender, sexuality that will always prefer to blame others for their misfortune and/or poor choices rather than accept responsibility. Just look at modern feminism, people love to feel like they are at a disadvantage through no fault of their own because it absolves them of any responsibility, eg. "it's not my fault that I'm only a receptionist and don't make as much money as all the male lawyers at my office, it's because I'm female and never had a chance".

Another great example is young people today (my age) whining about it being too hard to get a job and that it was so much easier for boomers, when they just don't want to work hard and think they are entitled to easy, high-paying jobs just by virtue of existing.
