He also would get smashed badly by Nigel Short if he dared to play a bong cloud VS Nigel in his (Fischer’s) current (at that time) age and level of playing (which is miles below where he was in 1960-70s)

What are your favorite E4 openings? Do you prefer e4 or d4? I'm trying to get better at the scotch gambit myself. I know there are safer openings for white, but I hate boring games.

With white I’ve been playing Jobova London for a while. As per Simon Williams’ (Ginger GM) Jobova London DVD. Or as they say in England Day-Vey-Day. Highly recommended, by the way. I played 1e4 and even other stuff in the past, but I like Jobova London, it can be very aggressive, or calm, my choice, and people tend to not know much about it, so I get some easy points.

I know dick all about Scotch Opening thou.

Can you expand on this a little more? Maybe with a hint as to how one "understands the fundamentals". I obviously get that strategy goes way deeper than just knowing how pieces move and recognising the patterns, but is "understanding the fundamentals" something that happens spontaneously as one plays thousands and thousands of games, or is there specific theory we should be seeking out?

Srs, enlighten an eager noob

Cheers

learning basic opening stradegys and what the idea of the opening is. example you play on the queen side or you want your knight / bishop placed here, instead of memorizing theory that weak players wont know.

Go over your game constantly and find out where you went wrong and what you could of done better.

I set it to start about an hour ago but I guess chess.com requires manual start, I just logged in and fired the tourney.

We'll mark that down for next time.

It was disinformation brah.

Muzzlr has shown he will do absolutely anything to win. Including forking my queen on move 8 in front of God and all these people.

On suicide watch.
