Yeah I don't see the issue. We live in a modern society. They can find these people later with minimal difficulty. The general policy of most stores is to let the guy run with merchandise. You aren't supposed to try to stop him. Why? Because they might go crazy and shoot you, and it isn't worth your life. The police can get the guy later.

Anyway, I see it like...if there is reason to believe this person may hurt someone, then it is important to taze. Otherwise, it seems needlessly escalatory.

The lady did just about everything wrong in that situation.

If this kind of chit keeps happening, black people are going to be so scared of cops that they will just shoot them the moment they think they will be arrested. We need to really look at the nature of force here. He really didn't need to cuff her right then. All of this could have been avoided. And idk why he couldn't just keep her detained in a civil manner until backup arrived.

What is dumb is she was being arrested over some weed. She lost her life over some fking weed man.
You truly live in a different reality. Also, it was not "some fking weed". If you look closely he found powder. She literally shot the officer first and attempted to murder him and you want to defend her actions?

It's important to note the officer had no knowledge of the weapon beforehand. In his decision to taze, as required by the law, the justification for being tazed was simply fleeing from a drug charge. That, imo, is ridiculous. And it isn't the officer's fault here. It's the system that is just ridiculous.

He had her plates and she doesn't look like a serial killer or something. She wasn't some hardened criminal. Just a terrified woman. Why do we care so god damn much? This is the police state. You don't see it because you've become so used to it. Our system seems almost designed to escalate. The moment anyone panics or flees, even for the most trivial offenses, it's a green light to escalate. Why? Escalation is incredibly destabilizing for our society.

I realize the officer was just following protocol. But why is it crucial to taze someone and escalate force if they flee and it isn't a violent felony? I can understand the pressing need to stop a suspected murderer.I do not understand the pressing need to taze this terrified, fat woman. Sorry, I just don't. Our system is fuking broken. Our laws did create this situation. We build our laws assuming everyone is rational when these rules predictably fail over and over again.
he tazed her when she ran back into her car, he did not know what was in that car, he hadnt searched it, there could be anything in there including a gun which there ended up being. In fact if his tazer worked correctly, and he was able to get her in cuffs using it, he wouldnt have been shot. How can you be this retarded, this video was the prime example why he had to get her under countrol.

the justification was for his safety, the woman was returning to the vehicle which he does not know what is in there. he cannot just assume that she will only do this or that, that she will only just flee without attacking him, that she would not have a weapon, all of these things. that is a retarded view to take.

Again, it was not over weed. It was over Felony warrants, driving infractions, gun possession, attempted murder of a peace officer, marijuana possession, and possession of a schedule 1 drug.

It's regarding the woman's actions not the police officer. She knew she was going to face consequences and she'd rather kill someone than do that.

As for the drug issue you won't find a more adamant opponent of prohibition than me. Maybe tell the BLM useful idiot retards to focus on that instead of defunding the police

After being tazed and panicking. You guys are so wrapped up in the police state that you don't even see how insane it is that people face jail time over drug charges and get tazed when they freak out and run.

What do animals do when cornered? You're familiar with fight or flight right? The escalation of force when unnecessary can and will lead to deaths like this.

This is a very American situation. The whole police protocol is designed because everyone is packing heat, so equal force has to be threatened at any moment. I know you guys love your guns and hate your illegal drugs, but come on. You can't have it both ways, you can't have a heavy handed, armed and agitated police and peoples while also trying to enforce all kinds of old religious laws, like the "war on drugs" without bloodshed. I would look at this as a case of, it's the way you wanted it and they way you got it.

It’s a major problem and only worse when politicians that live in the suburbs address the issue kiddie gloves because for some reason libtards have it baked in their mind that drug addiction isn’t wide spread and only affects a few users who can jump on and off with some magical government program
That's why we need to put them in rehab and not jail. Thanks for playing.

Keep dangerous animals in cages. They don't belong in society.

the cops are enforcing existing laws, that is a separate argument to change the laws. If you are advocating the cops selectively enforce different laws out of "common sense" or using whatever determinants, that is ripe for abuse, the sheriff is an elected official and focuses on crimes they think will make good news stories like drug and prostitution busts, meanwhile if your personal property, your car or your house gets broken into, its low priority to them, even with modern fingerprint technology, they will refuse to take prints and do fuk all for you.

That is the argument being made. To change the laws, specifically the penalties for nonviolent drug crimes. Rehab > Jail. And also, if the person doesn't seem like a threat and you have their face and license, if they panic and flee, there is no need to use force to chase them. You can get them later.

I can see why you would think that.

Didn't read this whole thread.

I'm unclear on why the officer proceeded to detain the woman and requested to search her bag after he found that she wasn't the person he was looking for when he stopped the vehicle.

If he had stopped once he knew that this would have all been avoided.
"Hello Ms. Driver, this vehicle is registered to Wanted Individual. Can I see your ID?"

"I can see that you are not Wanted Individual and he is not with you. Are you aware of his where abouts? Did you know that there is a warrant for Wanted Individual? What is your relationship to Wanted Individual?"

"Ms. Driver if this is now your vehicle then you should change the registration to your name. Otherwise you should expect that the police will be taking notice of this vehicle and you may be stopped again until Wanted Individual is apprehended."

"Drive safe."
That said, the woman's actions were the primary driver of how this unfolded.

There is so much money and power involved that it will never happen. The main reason is that the average person is propagandized into submission and too stupid to break away from the programmed response

Why don't they just leave black people alone? What's the point of arresting any of them? They mostly commit crimes against their own anyways. Just let them destroy their own lives and their own communities. Naturally, those non-black business owners who are tired of their $#!t like my parents will eventually move out to a safer neighborhood.

After helping my parents run their small business in black community for almost 20 years, I really don't have much sympathy for them. 90% of customers acted like animals and almost everyday we had to call the cops for theft. Students from near by middle school literally acted like animals.
Trust me, I am a pharmacist.

Nothing will fix the majority of the violence other than allowing markets to function without enough impediment to encourage a criminal underworld surrounding the black market.

Maybe this woman isn't driven to suicide by cop, but there will still be daily shootings in every major metro over the trade and entire countries whose legitimacy is undermined by criminal organizations to provide supply. The violence and wasted money across the entire system is staggering.

But as long as the government can make a profit on it and sell it to the people as necessary, they will keep rubbing their hands together and smiling at the destruction they are responsible for
