That seems to have gone away and the racism here is definitely more out in the open now.

Its not so much race based attacks against individuals as generalized negativity towards groups

As someone who has been here for more than I would say that this is a solid analysis. Very little has been off limits from the misc hive mind (if she 14, im 14. don't care what age would hit, shieeeeetttt, ect) so why would race be any different? Coupled with the fact that this is one of the few places where white people can have honest discussions about race related things without being called a racist, it can definitely look like something "nefarious" on the surface if you are looking for racism. Are there racists on the misc? Of course, we even have murderers and rapists too. But overall most miscers are just that, miscers. As a white brah, I always appreciated the black brahs who share their experiences with the misc, I legit have learned new perspectives because of them sharing and I appreciate it. I hope they understand the other perspective as well. What's true for the world is true on the misc, we can all do a bit better when it comes to treating one another.

We are all older now, more jaded, hitting the 1/3rd life crisis, watching parents age - life is inherently tragic and the biggest reason is that the culture had radically changed in wider society. I have witness my 99.9% Scottish vaguely Protestant, the odd Irish Catholics society change beyond anything I could have imagined a child. Everybody is glued to technology too. Our elites hate us.

When Zyzz is posted on the misc you can see just how much the user base has changed from the the teens that thought he was cool. I lurked for years before I joined but missed that first boom.
