Been riding my bike all day on my days off and just bringing a book with me and reading at parks and stopping to get food at cool places. I did this yesterday and at night I was so tired I just went to sleep rather than obsess over drinking.
It’s fall so let’s get outside before the weather gets cold (besides in the south)

Weather is nice today, kind of chill/overcast grey sky. I'm going to go ride my bike around the neighborhood, get 10 miles in.
Afterwards: cooking lunch/dinner, video games, guitar practice, and reading horror novels/watching horror movies.
Weekends are great, and you don't need drugs or alcohol to have fun, just good hobbies!

So far no issues. Zero alcohol, no cravings. Only thing that happened was earlier today on a Saturday I was like "hmm normally I'd probably want a little liquor or some beer to go with X Y Z," just an observation as opposed to craving.
Hitting the weed vape a couple times though, but lack of alcohol is going good.

Alright, a little late to the party, but count me in. Getting the initial start is hard as fuk (like 2-3 weeks), but then it starts to get easier...so if I actually make it through the month, then hopefully I'll keep it going and get back on the wagon.

Why? It's mainly a boredom thing. You get used to that high/instant gratification from it or just the "I could enjoy this even more drunk" thoughts. I also have a family history so possibly genetically predisposed.

But I must approve until then, your being sober and enjoying your sanity.

Today will be my challenging day. I've always eaten clean all week and saved sweets for the weekends, especially Sunday nights when my son comes for dinner and a movie. I didn't buy any dessert for tonight so that should help.
