It’s mainly on my left. On the sides of my nipple. I’ve been massaging it with a pizza roller. I’m hoping it goes away, if not maybe I’ll need a shot of that steroid to break up the scar tissue. Honestly that’s the only bad thing right now. It makes my left nipple protrude more — in a way making it seem like it’s puffy still

Went out yesterday for first time without my compression vest and pads. Felt weird. Not used to having a shirt against my nipples. Keep making progress, massaging scar tissue away, looking at a shirtless photoshoot in March/april

nice! do you feel that the scar tissue is slowly getting smaller?

I'm thinking of just getting a theragun or some knockoff to massage the scar tissue if/when i get it

not to hijack thread, but i got my full glands removed, as well as nipples reduced/shortened. can most likely wear super thin athletic shirts and have no trace of soy

It’s been 2 months now! Not wearing compression vest anymore. I’ve been out of town these past 2 weeks so I haven’t been eating the best. Lost 19 pounds but gained 4 back.
did my first chest workout in 2 months on Saturday!!!!!feels good man. Slowly transitioning to more strenuous workouts now. My goal to post updated photos for April (used to be March) is still on the table.

Good job on the weightloss OP.

I had the surgery about 15 years ago, although when I had it they made the incision in the crease of the armpit to leave less visible scarring.

I think I was probably about 150lbs when I had the surgery, so I was fairly lean didn't really have much fat, just gland to remove.

Then this was about ten years later when I was trying to get lean again and went from 175lbs to 155lbs.

i actually booked my appointment way back in October or september of last year. the doc had a long wait, possibly backfill from the pandemic.

i don't wanna post pics lol, but i will say i got it done from one of the best, if not best, doc in usa.

Just had my surgery done 2 weeks ago. Right side looks amazing, left sides nipple is a little bigger and lower than my right. I also have an insane amount more swlling on my left than right. My doctor said it’s normal due to the swelling and once it goes down it will even out. Hopefully it gets better for me, im worried. Doctor says if it does not he will do a revision. I might end up wearing my vest for longer than 4 weeks if swelling on left side doesn’t go down. Also does it feel really hard in your chest? Around my left nipple the swollen side of my chest it feels rock hard.

They took the tits but left the estrogen clearly
you lose a lot of glycogen and water weight if you reduce water/food intake after surgery to prevent seroma

did it look uneven right after surgery? or later on during recovery?

My chest and nips were even right after. its been around a week, and my left pec seems bigger due to swelling.

Very uneven after surgery. Has started too look better as swelling has gone down but my left side is still very swollen. It’s hard as a rock on my left side and my right is fine. Not sure if the hardness is swelling or something else.

From what i've read, immediately after surgery (right after you get off the operating table) it should look even/flat.

Did your doc remove 100% of the gland? did he use VASER or some sort of lipo to even things out?

Yes. Actually that’s pretty common. My right side for me seemed like it healed faster. My left side had scar tissue underneath making it look “bigger”. Not sure if you can tell in this pic. You can tell by the whiteness in the areola. The one with more white in the nipple area is the side that is healing fast. The other side you can see you don’t see that whiteness — that’s the side taking forever to heal. Swelling will also be assymetrical. Don’t get discouraged. Get yourself a Theragun about 1 month post op and use that along with a roller to massage the area — and your fingers too

He did lipo snd gland removal. He said he took the whole gland out.

well if he really did take out the whole gland as he claimed he did, then it could just be scar tissue.

if it feels like a "waterbed", then you got a seroma, but you didnt mention anything about that.

did you doc tell you to wear a compression vest with lipofoam?

Use the theragun after 6 weeks. Once you get the OK from your doctor to massage, start with fingers and the roller (buy it on Amazon)

Wear your compression with lipofoam yes. Keep doing that. After my 1 month check-up, he still made me wear it for an additional 3-4 weeks. Because i felt my compression vest wasn’t as tight as i wanted it, i added extra compression by wrapping a waist trainer around my chest too (on top of the vest+foam)

It’s all annoying I know but it’ll feel so much better once you don’t need to use the vest. Scar tissue can be very discouraging, but you have to trust your doctors when they say they removed the entire gland. It’s rare for an operation to happen when the doctor left gland in there
