Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be more retarded propaganda like when the Russians ran out of food and were begging North Korea for MREs or when they were using 1985 transit vans to try and storm Kiev.

Yes, I have a buddy whom I've met while playing Escape from Tarkov. His uncle works at Uralvagonzavod and confirmed that the tweet is true.

After massive missile attacks on the energy system of Ukraine, there are serious problems with electricity in a number of areas:

▪️In Kyiv, DTEK limited the power supply to all three lines of consumers.
▪️In Khmelnitsky, there is an emergency power outage for most consumers, water supply is limited, electric transport does not work.
▪️In Ternopil, the city receives electricity in backup power mode. The voltage is unstable, so emergency shutdowns occur.
▪️In Dnipro, an infrastructure facility in the Kamensky district was damaged, a strong fire and destruction.
▪️In Sumy, since the morning, 247 consumers have been without power due to shelling. In Sumy and Shostka districts - an emergency power outage.

And you didnt really answer my question: would it be in USAs best interest in terms of national security if nato were to dissolve for isolationist reasons?
Sorry, thought I did.

FWIW I believe there are multiple non-nuclear avenues for attacking given our reliance on the electric grid, satellites, internet, etc.

How many people in a highly populated US area would perish if there was a power outage that lasted 30 days or more? No ICBMs required.

And I don't believe NATO would be such a loss as none of our Allies have military strength that is all that impressive vs. the US military. I think the British still have an okay navy and the French have continued arms manufacturing. That's about it.

So losing them or having them join with someone else would be unlikely to be the decisive factor given the US got into a direct military engagement with another country.

The situation would have to change rather drastically for NATO countries to not only stop giving the US military support, but to also actively attack the US.

"JUST IN - Ukraine needs $57 billion to cover the budget deficit next year, and to rebuild critical and power infrastructure.

In addition, no less than $5 billion in credit limits to purchase gas and coal, Zelenskyy says at IMF-World Bank."

You dont think having canada and europe turn their military and political ties away from the US is a damaging factor to national security? Okay.

Also, both nato and russia have made it very clear that any directed cyber attack, attack on electrical infrastructure, or attack or satellites would instantly cause a military escalation.

If russia could or would somehow disable US grid, that would immediately start a war.

This was likely a test attack, to see how Ukraine's infrastructure would hold up. There will likely be much more during Winter.

19 civilians dead, over 100 injured, blown up businesses and residential towers, and videos of missiles hitting pedestrian bridges and landing right now to children playgrounds... Kremlin is on TV celebrating this massacre and screams that their missiles hit"all designated targets""all designated targets", so no questions or excuses about it.

Good job Putin. Couldn't make a better reminder for everyone that Russia is a terrorist state that spreads chaos and commits genocide against an ordinary peaceful residents who just want to live life. Anyone who doubted the need to support Ukraine in this conflict is reminded once again with what we're dealing with here.

Did vatniks really think this sh*t is going to impress or intimidate anyone? Dumb morons, feel sorry for ya... even scammers in India don't support your stupid ass anymore, it's sad.

And yes - more money and more military aid will be going to Ukraine, now more than ever.

I do have a question..... or a few

If Russia's statements on Ukraine using Bio weapons on its boarders, what was to be expected?
If you think Russia was lieing about it, why?

I dont exactly trust Putin but, when America out of no where blurts out it has no bio weapons/ labs in Ukraine, and immediately the next day reverses the statement for the need to send troops and weapons to Ukraine, I'd say that kinda supports the argument of wtf is going on, as well as what Putin said.......
---------------------------

If Putins just doing this for the vast resources, I guess that makes sense why hes not using much resources. I don't really believe the, they're out of supply's narrative as we've been hearing that for a long time. Makes more sense to say Ukraine is since they're relying on just support. Which means, is he really that much of a madman?

------------------------

On a separate note, I don't get why people are laughing about Ukraine using 3rd world country military equipment when they've had nothing but NATO support practically the whole time. TBH it sounds like this will turn out to be Iraq all over again.

Europeans are hoarding wood, cleaning chimneys, and mulling horse dung as winter looms in an energy crisis

Bioweapon labs and biolabs are two completely different things.

Ukraine did have bioweapon labs in USSR times, but those have been thoroughly dismantled after the collapse under the supervision of an international committee and everyone has been keeping tabs on them.

Biolabs to poke petri dishes and do research on xyz pathogens and whatnot do exist, but every single first world nation has (lots) of those, they aren't anything special. And yes, the US - and others - did provide funding to carry out said research at several biolabs. The Russian claim that the Ukies were researching the slavkiller (because Ukies apparently aren't slavs, idunno) turbovirus or whatever is just ludicrous. There's also zero chance that any country with the necessary funding, equipment and know how is going to ship crap over on Russia's doorstep instead of just developing their funky stuff in some super secret facilities on their home turf.
If you think Russia was lieing about it, why?
- because they're Russians. For the record they've lied about not wanting to invade at all.

He got high on his own farts and the yes men cheered him on so he thought this whole thing would be another Georgia/Ukraine 2014 with rolling up, some shooting and then the other side just bending over before the West can do anything. If it even wants to do anything. But then that didn't happen and he's gone full sunken cost fallacy retard.

Also nobody has ever started an invasion while holding back and just sending in some C-tier crap while keeping the good stuff locked away in storage. It's as if the US decided to roll in the National Guard on Shermans in Iraq/Afghanistan because reasons. Any sensible army would want to minimize its losses and even the old school crap needs maintenance, fuel, ammo and trained crews, all precious resources. So no, they really do not have any secret stash of top shelf toys tucked away.
