Maybe this is because their governor refuses to declare an actual disaster or state of emergency. Can you issue disaster relief if there is indeed no declared disaster?


Isn't it the case that FEMA needs the governor of a state to declare a state of disaster before FEMA can actually go in? Doesn't DeWine have a unilateral ability to do this, but hasn't, and the right-wing are somehow blaming Biden?

As of 2 days ago the governor had resisted declaring an emergency. Maybe it's time to see if he received some nice big fat bribes....oops I mean "donations" from the railway company.

Several of the relevant federal acronyms have been there the whole time, i.e.the EPA, DOT, HHS, CDC, and NTSB.
