Agreed, it's dumb. Reminds me of that one guy who wrote an arbitrary executive order stating how important it was that for every one new regulation issued, at least two prior regulations be identified for elimination.

The sheep eat that stuff up, so I understand why it was done, but regulations should be based on merit and results, not modeled after selling 2 for 1 discount steaks.

IMO presidents shouldn't visit disaster areas as the dog and pony show complicates relief efforts.

They can do so after the fact, but I don't see how it adds anything.
