The problem is not necessarily that big tech gets to choose the speech, it's that the government and big tech colluded to shut down independent journalism, which is becoming more and more popular. In other words, the Fed WANTS a monopoly in the information because the independent journalists are not as easily bought and influenced. Just like in the economy, small businesses that grow are what helps prevent monopolies. This is why the Fed wanted to shut down for COVID; to create monopolies they can control. Now all of these big corporations are peddling Marxism and climate fascism.

With journalism, the internet created a space where independent journalists could compete. The Fed didn't like this, so they wanted to shut them down, and the corporations are on board because of the money they make as a monopoly
One party system; Most Republicans are Democrats, but no Democrats are Republicans.
Hayek and Mises were right; they're all socialists.
"To Call something fair or unfair is a subjective value judgment and not liable to any verification" Ludwig Von Mises

Yeah in 1988. And then time passed between. And he complied with what we demanded. And then we invaded anyway.

He did, I believe the only people he was hurting were his own. Iraq was used to surviving under dictatorship. He likely posed zero threat to us. He did present a threat to Israel if anyone. Our ally. He fired all those missiles at them at the very end of the first gulf war which imo shouldn’t have been overlooked. I think the only part of US/UK/France’s plan to contain Saddam (France withdrew from it eventually) that was for certain was he wouldn’t have been a threat to the west, but Israel. He was an enemy to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Iran so no love lost there. The Bush admin invaded under lies for oil purposes but I didn’t care myself that Saddam and his sons were removed. No matter what the cause I feel like him gone was a benefit to that region.

He complied with everything and there was zero justification for the invasion. Hundreds of thousands of people died and it destabilized the middle east. Not only was it a heinous international crime, but our leaders also lied to us. Ofc they also lied about the crying girl and doctored her testimony in the first gulf war and may have greenlit Saddam to do it too. But hey...

It's not. And nobody has said it was either.

I don't want the government to have it's finger in any of the news I read or hear, period. For clarification - and because some ITT seem to have forgotten, "The government" does not always = "The guy I voted for." And even if it did, I still don't want "the guy I voted" for censoring and manipulating shiit.

In before JLC semantics and circular logic again.
It's a hot night. The mind races. You think about your knife: the only friend who hasn't betrayed you, the only friend who won't be dead by sunup. Sleep tight mates, in your quilted chambray night shirts.
