Depends on the state. You're Canadian, so you could use a nickel's worth, son.

But yes, in states where you just have to fill out a form 4473 and hand the cashier a card or cash and get your gun, that is a lot easier than being able to legally drive a car. Literally takes 10 minutes tops from "I'd like a gun" to walking out with a gun, son.
