It will always have the thrill of flying around in a fast af space ship, which will be cool because for some reason hardly any decent games revolve around navigating space, on console anyway. NMS has that too but it quickly turns into an existential crisis when you realise how big and aimless it is, much like the real universe I suppose. A game shouldn't feel like real life though, it should have a well thought out plot to keep the player invested.

Avowed looked like generic fantasy ass.

Starfield actually looks cool but the entire open world sandbox build your own ship/base stuff is just not my thing. People that like spending 500 hours on one game would probably like it, but I aint for that kind of time lol

I think it will appeal more to people that are into Minecraft and Zelda Building simulator

I want a space game like a modern mass effect. There are many systems but from navigation you can only go to select planets as dictated by the plot. From there you can choose to land at a base/outpost on a planet or choose to warp into an area of space just outside said planet for missions or collecting resources.

Boom, can still have a large game but have everything hand crafted with a purpose.

Yea I guess we will see how it is. I think it might actually review well (unlike fallout 76 and nms) and sell really well

This.
I do hope Starfield lives up to the hype, been needing a good space game after getting an OLED, many on here (yourself included) recommend I grab.haven't played a FORZA game in a long time, that might be something to check out as well. The graphics on pretty much all these games are looking pretty damn good, just wish they did not go so hard with the woke agenda.

Won't the people who buy GPUs that can handle a game like Starfield would already have an SSD?

Ngl the new flight sim looks incredible. I invested hundreds of hours into Snowrunner because it was so varied in what you could do on it. Reminded me of that except with aircraft instead of trucks. Actually having objectives has transformed it from a boring 'fly around aimlessly' empty world to a proper game/sim combo.

Forza looks concerning. Hate that generic zoomer music and cringe narrator telling you what you should do. I expect it's going to be a lot more simcade than GT7. The fun for me is doing countless laps in GT7 shaving tenths of a second off my laptimes just to get a better starting position during online races. I can't see Forza being at that level of simulation. If they keep it at least as sim as Forza 7 it will still be a good experience especially if they revamp the damage model and tyre physics.

I'm guessing anyone who has a GPU made in the last 5 years has at least a gen 3 nvme.

They should, but even "THIS ISNT POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE POWER OF THE SSD" Ratchet & Clank doesn't require a SSD to run on PC. Interesting that Starfield requires it.

Disagree. Skyrim is still popular, and Fallout is too.

Starfield will have mods on top of all the stuff they put in it. **** will be crazy once the mod community gets at it

Starfield graphically confuses tf out of me. Some things looks amazing, sharp, next gen. Some things, especially faces, look like it's something from a game that could have been released 10 year ago. I don't get it.

Every trailer you saw was CGI, gameplay or not. Both Fable and Hellblade 2 said "IN-GAME FOOTAGE", meaning that those are in-game graphics.

Starfield looks great and I'm hyped ... But the gameplay really does leave a lot to be desired.

I have no interests in ship combat, ship building, base building, building .... The combat looks servicable, but even there doesn't really seem to be much variety. Just go into arena and pew pew pew.

Worst of all, they just talked up the exploration and talking to people as a bonus, nothing about actual stuff like how quests can be different, choice/consequence or any of that "Real time AI" stuff that they usually brag about.

I've cooled down on Awowed. Watching the 4K trailer, it's a nice looking game, (but I think POE2 might actually be better looking with a better art style) but honestly let's see what Obsidian does ... I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it's Obsidian and they make great rpgs, but outer worlds was disappointing and they're attempting another open world game again. They really should have gone and done another crpg game.

MS better be giving them unlimited budget.

You said games looked incredible by judging CGI movies and in game cutscenes. Zero gameplay was shown. It's cool you like the CGI hand movements but that's just complimenting a movie and not the actual game

Rift Apart is a very straightforward single player linear game. I would expect a game like Starfield that is open universe and having a bunch of assets and systems to load really quickly would need an ssd much more. It's not rocket science.
