I dont get upset when you say its over, because it is.

But accepting its over is way different than not being negatively impacted by the situation. That is something that isnt possible if you're a normal human being, because loneliness, sexlessness etc will cause most people to go crazy or depressed.

I completely understand what you mean by looks threshold
its largely true

especially these days with online dating and lack of places where you'll see the same girl multiple times, so she can actually evaluate you more on just looks
ie. classes, college etc
girls have so many options online and offline that they can scrutinize just on looks especially if you only ever meet or see them once

HOWEVER
what I've been noticing is that different girls will find me attractive and its not really correlated to how hot they are
meaning that, yes if you're not standardly attractive most girls wont be into you
BUT you might actually be above her threshold for attractiveness, even if she is hot herself


I don't think you want to hear this because it means you could actually make it
it sucks because it means that if its true you need to put in even more work in than before
