But the entire film is a woke fest. I was at a party way back in March in Pasadena CA attended by some Hollywood big wigs and was told it was all a facade. The woke narrative would be pushed.

I remember seeing commercials on this from last winter. Movie just now came out in July. Tell me how that makes sense??

There were Barbie HGTV home improvement shows started a month ago. Barbie drinks at bars and on instagram all spring. Barbie food recipes on popular food sites and channels. Endless signage and social media talk from April and on.

Again the movie just came out in July. THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN.

Hell just google Barbie movie. It doesn't come up as a normal search. Everything comes up pink with pink stars exploding on Google.

That is NOT normal.

I have never seen a more heavily marketed movie than this one. And again......it wasn't marketed as woke. But it is.

They say the promotional budget is $150 to $200 M. I was told it was well over $400 M and judging from what I have seen?

I believe it. This probably has to do at least a $billion to have made it worthwhile.

I have never used Discord so I have no idea but I have used skype and ******** and the old services like AOL and yahoo. And tons of other specific websites who have DM services as well. Hell even my main stock message board has DM features.

I actually don't know what the DMs and different chat apps mean and do. And I am not trying to troll you.

I really have never bothered to get involved in all of that stuff.

I just send a message and reply to a message. What disappears into the cloud I don't really think about. And honestly I don't care. I am too old to worry about all that.

I just do what I do to get along every day. Whether that with be my wife. Daughter Friends. Family. Whatever. I really don't like drama so I try to avoid things that could cause it. It seems as if a lot of these chat apps are to cause drama. Not lesson it.

It's because it's about the man himself. Actually watched a fact vs fiction about the movie afterwards, and the majority of it happened.

3 hrs is a long time time though, had to rush to the bathroom once.

The issue I felt was they went into too much legal and courtroom drama. Especially with the RDJ character.

Got very old.

It isn't an action movie.....which I actually liked. But they should have shown more of the actual chemistry and experiments behind the creation of the atomic bomb.

They showed next to none of that.

I agree the issue is the movie just didn't do that any justice. Nor any of the experimentation. I really like the guy who played Oppenheimer. Great actor and was superb in Peaky Blinders and Batman.

God.. few years back there was that "Manhattan" tv show - that I thought was gonna be about the project. It was actually a fuking soap opera set in the New Mexico desert in the early 1940's. Oppenheimer made - I think one appearance, and he was portrayed as a sniveling bureaucratic bitch. Disgusting Hollywood tripe.
