Smearing someone with labels of rapist or groomer is also a common strategy for retards to use against their perceived "enemies".
So you're exactly right, people are free to speculate but unless someone is part of the victim or accusers family or defense team, it's best to wait and see what the jury says after seeing the evidence.

I haven’t watched the video but Brand admittedly was a pretty heavy drug user, I’d have to suspect the women he was with were also users, even if just recreationally…that gets into some an area of sex with regret, under influence, & things one would do that otherwise wouldn’t sober. Not defending the guy but I also see how the left goes after everyone that doesn’t toe the line, it’s become far to common to trust their allegations.

You mean like shrugging the assaulter's hand off and trying to GTF away from him? Or blaming the gif creator...

Cliffs: Per the video: the UK parliament sent a threat/demand that Brand be deplatformed.
So, I had a very "wait and see" attitude about this, open minded -- but with this new bit of information, it's almost a lock that the people who suspected this was a setup were correct. I can not think of a legitimately good reason why the Government of the UK would stick it's nose into this matter with big tech other than this being orchestrated.
Now, anyone who automatically had prior assumed this to be the case, the "Trumpers" Chris Hayes and other people were angry about -- I still think they jumped the gun and were wrong to assume something, even if we now know it was true.
However, on the other side of the coin, let's see the response of the Chris Hayes types now that the cat seems to be out of the bag.
Too often people argue with their emotions, this idea that they do or don't like someone so they go out of their way to twist things for or against them. That's bullchit -- and something Chris Hayes and his ilk, as well as a lot of people on the right in this thread, are guilty of.
Here, though -- the people skeptical of this situation, like myself, clearly were on the right side of things. It looks suspect and turns out it was exactly what people feared it was. We still don't know if these allegations have any water to them, but the UK Government (and probably not them alone) getting involved does paint this as an orchestrated attempt to silence someone, which is something *everyone* left and right should be appalled about.
Let's see how many people on the left have any integrity and call this out for the horrible thing it is.

1. Repeatedly asking you all the same thing exposes your unwillingness to answer - ie your tranny and drag freaks "performing" for children and your president groping a little girl
2. Which only proves me right.
And...
3. Watching you all Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive and. Dodge and make counter-accusations in order to deflect, amuses the living shiit out of me.

You repeatedly asking again and again and being ignored doesn't "prove" anything except about yourself.

Cliffs:
Ask libs why their tranny and drag freaks want to "perform" for children..
Answer: "So what they didn't get arrested! And and and.. maybe take it up with the parents who took them there! And.. and... and... only a ped0 would see anything wrong with a middle aged dude in a dress showing his junk to children you sicko! Rage!"

I just did a quick check and it looks like a single letter was sent yesterday by a person on some culture, media, and sport committee asking rumble to demonetize RB. They said no. That's it. That's the proof"they"are out to get him. See how easy it is to say "I must be telling the truth and this is proof because they're trying to shut me down"? The reality is he's a grifter just like Alex Jones and this committee sees him as a threat to the general public. Keep in mind the UK is not the US and does not have freedom of speech rights to the same degree we do.
I'm also curious if this committee has done this in the past with non-political people... people"they"wouldn't be going after, to see if they are acting consistently when others allegedly behave in the same manner.

Here is an article about it, Forbes, if that matters.
Clearly, some people have a hard time checking their biases. It's why you see articles, or MSNBC political (hack) commentators take this, "No you morons, there 100% absolutely beyond any discussion is any even remotely possible chance of a conspiracy against Russell Brand!!" style takes on it, which then when information comes out that is at the least somewhat (if not pretty grossly) damning, the same kind of people, of the people who listen to those hacks, double down or pretend damning letters mean nothing.
In what world is this letter so meaningless -- and yet, it's demonstrably led to Russell Brand being kicked off almost all platforms and unable to earn a living (over simple allegations, ones that were very old and I believe already known about). So, this letter, which proves no conspiracy and all that -- somehow it's just a silly coincidence?
Anyway, some of us are better than others about checking our biases. Some people are simply too locked into a course to back off it, even when more and more you see them being derailed at every turn. Lot of that going around lately and it's not a good look.
Me, I took a wait and see approach, even kicked back against the notion that somehow old rape allegations could only be used in a fraudulent way (when I brought up Daniel Masterson)... but there is simply no reason a letter, one which led to massive repercussions, being written by powerful people in Government, no reason for it other than dark ones.

This is no different than bumblebee watching a satellite video of the wildfires in Canada and automatically convincing himself it was "evidence" and proof that they were started intentionally by man.

It's almost sad seeing some people, ones who are deep in the hole of their own biases, unable to even comprehend it.
My position from the start: Anyone demanding either take were in the wrong. We needed information.
What we knew: Allegations came out against Russell Brand. These allegations led to him being deplatformed on major media/tech platforms.
The conspiracy was: Was this orchestrated or not? If so, was it to silence him for speaking out against the system?
Some people demanded it was. Others demanded it was not. Both were 100% in the wrong.
However, since then: We now know it *was* beyond any discussion orchestrated. A powerful PM in the UK Government was caught demanding these platforms do what they did. This isn't a conspiracy, it's not speculation it's not up for much debate (it's being reported by Forbes and other outlets, we can probably assume it's on the level).
Now I'm a big fool for trusting my own eyes? What? Some people need to grow up and check their biases better. They get so stuck on their narrative nothing breaks them from it and they end up so far from the normal middleground, they who are extremists, view normal people as extreme. Come back to reality, some of you.
We know the British Government targeted Brand. That is not a good look and does lend a lot of credence to this "right wing" idea that somehow Brand was being silenced for speaking out against the establishment. This, frankly idiotic, idea that it's just a single person and means nothing -- you can not say that asIT WORKED. Brand got destroyed. If the letter means nothing, if it's just a single powerless little tiny nobody (who happens to be in the UK Parliament)... then why did it work?
Come on. Time to put on big boy pants, stand your ground that some people jumped the gun but also admit they had the right of things and then compliment people who held the middle ground and realize they were wise when others were trapped by their own biased natures. This is called Growth and it's a good thing.
Mistakes can lead to being a better person if you accept them but they lead you to being a worse person when you double down on them.

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Now that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't guilty of the allegations. By most accounts he stepped well outside of socially acceptable boundaries when choosing partners and doing drugs with them (shocker).
Of all the claims only 1 involved anything potentially illegal. (Outside the drugs). Every other claim just showed he wasn't good person.
I don't see a problem making the call that this smells of chit just given the age of the claims and the political motivations of the people making the claims.

So much for Pat being pro-tranny everything..
