Your data is sold but not to the state or most forms of govt

The only govt entities it’s sold to are LE agencies in the event of a criminal investigation so you have to give them a reason to track your online activity

Corporations have the right to be sold your online data because it’s part of the licensing and user agreements you click agree to

On most websites or social media it’s one of the first things they have you agree to

the federal , state or local government has no business having your pornhub usage that will surely be abused in some way when you link your SSN or Drivers license to “Hot Latina Milf Squirts” videos

LOL thinking they GAF Snowden PROVED that they vacuum all your data without a second thought for "muh criminal investigation". Google NSA buying data they literally just got caught AGAIN.

But is the govt. prohibited from buying data that people give away…or more accurately, trade for convenience? It’s not like they have to spy on people to get the data and it’s not like they are creating the data themselves. It is all on the market for people to buy. It’s wrong for the govt. to kick people out of their house and steal it, but they are able to buy land and houses from people. Same with data.


And no, it wouldn’t be hard at all to parse through gigs of data to identify a single person as long as you have a few key pieces to pivot on, which….spoiler alert, anyone with that data has. Again, privacy is a myth at this point.

I never agreed to having my tax dollars be used to spy on me or other Americans. It’s creating a loophole for the fourth amendment, which exists for good reason
