Actually embarrassed to live in Ottawa at this point. Protestors literally had a street party last night on Wellington (right in front of Parliament) complete with a stage they built and DJs and even after Ford announced the crackdown the cops just sat around doing nothing.

So now I guess the end goal now is to have JT step down and resign? Are they going to stay until that happens (which will never happen)?

Well as a trucker supporter I have to say they won't stay there indefinitely. It's possible nothing will happen and in a few weeks people will just start going home cuz it's taking too long

Apparently Ottawa police strategy is just that. Wait it out. Our police chief makes 400k a year and all he did yesterday during a meeting was complain that his officers are all exhausted from being on duty for 12 hour shifts for two weeks straight. Um, dumbass if you actually broke this thing up after even a week that wouldn't have happened.

I'm just wondering if they announced that mandates were being lifted in Ontario if they would actually leave, or have the protest leaders moved their goalposts again to include getting rid of the government like they announced a couple of days ago.

Basically police approaching the vehicles, asking them to leave. They are all deciding to so far because I think the police are basically like "if you don't we will arrest you and impound your vehicle".

Have a feeling they will just move off the bridge and then stay wherever as long as they aren't blocking traffic.
