I also picked this timeline as it will culminate in massive losses for Ukraine beyond its normal tolerance. If they faced the same adversity, as well as any other professional military, Russia would have tucked its tail and run away months ago.

Also, it is just an estimate. Maybe Ukraine knows something we do not and Russia will culminate or risk weakening other places along the line. All seems cold other than the east which means Russia neither has the will nor means to move anywhere else until the logistics are in place to do so. The Kherson logistical pipeline is now set in the east. Also, it looks as if the VDV was given a long break but has re-entered the fight there which is not good for Ukraine. It is obvious that Russian targeting has gained competency and or priority in the east with all the local strikes behind the Bakhmut lines.

I think the US is mainly targetting Germany. They have always ahd an issue with the competitiveness of German exports and their use of Russian Gas to fuel it. The UK is just caught in the crossfire.

I tend to balance out ISW/AU/Miltaryland maps as the Russian maps generally lag behind days or a week or more.

I only show Russians gaining ground on those maps listed that are favorable to Ukraine.

Mapping is easily contested and anyone caught with phony claims is easy sniffed out with a geolocated rebuttal.

Russia is also giving pretty current updates on daily movement. I'm not seeing Kreminna as a viable take and see Russians moving towards Lyman as more credible though I don't see why they'd go that direction instead of north or south.

I think some here get overly hopeful on the grayzone back and forth when they need to be watching 10-20km behind either line to understand which way that piece of the line is going.

....UK was the one who took out the nordstream pipeline. I'm sure there were some heated conversations between the UK and germany behind closed doors about that.

I am strongly suspicious of the German angle.

Plans were cancelled to expand its military as the goal was the superpower strength of Europe. This cannot be done without the Russian gas.

I still think Russia bombed the pipeline based on the highest motive (forcing open European network of pipelines). Second to that was the US/UK and other allies doing it to mitigate the military and industrial power Germany set out to be.

Yes the UK is the most probably culprit for taking out the Nordstream pipeline. The first question is how did this benefit the British people?

What is your motive for Russia bombing the pipeline? forcing open European networks of pipeline? I don't understand.

imo the pipeline repair it not something insurmountable, in the case hostilities end this could be repaired in udner a year.

The US does not like Germany and have looked at ways to harm their economy for years.

An appeal from a Ukrainian soldier to the Government about the new 8271 Law. I've posted a few of these videos of different Ukrop troops complaining.

Draft Law No. 8271. "On Amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses and other legislative acts of Ukraine on the specifics of military service under martial law or in a combat situation" was voted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and sent for signature to the President.

This would include—Disobedience, disobeying an order, threat, or violence against a superior, unauthorized abandonment of a unit or place of service, desertion, unauthorized abandonment of the battlefield during a combat mission, or refusal to use weapons during a battle.

There are rumors that russia will close borders in january, declare martial law and conduct another wave of mobilization. This time also for the men in the bigger cities, since last wave took the men from rural areas.
What do you guys think about this? Sounds like total madness looking at how the first wave went.
