Hmmmm there's a trend here it seems... Ruzzia only losing vast swats of land for the last half year + Ruzzia losing crazy amounts of militairy equipment and being in such a bad state they have to go beg third world sh*tholes for arms. Meanwhile Ukraine getting better and more equipment from the west each week. And I'm not even talking about the superior intelligence Ukraine gets fed from NATO.
If this war continues, it will be a lose-lose situation for Ruzzia and especially the Putin regime in almost every regard possible.

“A change in Russian military tactics. For the first time, a hotel in Kiev, where foreign military and political advisers live, was hit. So far, Russia has only hit military and infrastructure targets with missiles. And now, for the first time, the true power in Ukraine, foreign political and military advisers are being hit. Russia shows that in the new year 2023 it is ready to escalate, and it is ready to strike at the real enemy, i.e. the Western military political advisers. Alphavito Hotel.”
Consequences of shelling in Kiev The hotel "Alfavito" was destroyed near the Palace of Culture of Ukraine and the office of Ukrzaliznytsia. This was reported by Ukrainian journalist Sergei Leshchenko. According to some reports, it housed foreign military advisers.

I guess 2023 will be the year Russia runs out of missiles? ayyLMAO

Ideally id like to see a deal made on the donbas, recognition of crimea as russian, some water supply deal for crimea from ukraine, and russia legally recognizing all sovereign ukrainian territory.
All russia likes to play fast and loose with its promises like a teenage girl so idk how much you can trust their legal recognition lmao…
End of the day, that is ukraines decision to make. Its easy for me to say when im not ukrainian and have never lived there.

Also if Russia targets politicians It might hurt their International support.

But ya youre probably right. Killing a western politician visiting ukraine does the russians no good really and only risks drawing in nato to the war.
Generally speaking i think during wars its a pretty big taboo to go after foreign politicians like that.

I'll remind you that Russia has not collapsed and the contraction was 3.3%, ten points less than attempted
So now that Russia has successfully prevented their economic collapse an inevitable peace deal will come and western customers turn the taps back on.
Now that Russia, though hurt, is projected to make up the entire cancelation of western contracts can completely live without the west. Europe is forced to pay a premium for US products and lose industrial base from the cost or turn back to Russia for better prosperity.
Sanctions have failed miserably and unfortunately empowered Russia. It was a remarkably stupid thing to do.

In the same week Zelensky and the Wagoner visited the same region. They got footage and left. Both are valid targets.
Missiles hit Kiev. Politicians visit Keiv.
How do you marry Zelensky in bakhmut and striking foreign diplomats in the same thought when the point was striking western military advisors on the ground in Ukraine, also valid targets.

Surely if they can take these historically stringent sanctions like its a duck walk, those shouldnt have even phased them… what happened?
Oh and the russian gdp contraction this year not being as bad as predicted… any chance that could be due to the incredible volatility in the energy markets? Volatility which is being corrected.

No reason to hit either, it would only create enemies and rally people behind the person hit.
