Fever, loss of taste/smell, etc, get the test, comes back positive, and but they cannot recall specifically when they were around a sick person.

Fair point about the tests, but if someone tests positive AND they have all the symptoms... is it not reasonable to conclude they at least probably have it?

I can't provide you definitive evidence here, just my own experiences with people I know. I realize that doesn't hold weight, but in driving my own decisions and thoughts it certainly has an impact, and I have also seen people post videos etc reporting the same things online. Roughly 1/2 of the people I know who had COVID symptoms and tested positive had zero idea how or when they were exposed. They definitely weren't hanging out with obviously sick people, trying to be close to those people coughing, etc....

To be completely honest, we probably have a similar issue with vaccine numbers that we have with COVID reporting overall.

Anytime a new variable (COVID or a vaccine) is introduced into the population, it takes time to really understand what is correlation and what is causation. Yes, some people can die shortly after the vaccine, even if they're 100% 'healthy' apparently... but healthy people can also randomly die from sudden-cardiac death every day even when they're otherwise healthy... it happens. Is it because of the vaccine? Maybe, but maybe not. But, when we also roll out a vaccine to hundreds of millions of people... how do we know what causes what when random anomalies occur anyway?

The same goes for COVID... would people have died anyway? I have no idea.

Frankly the whole thing is exhausting because we all want answers, but we haven't had the virus or the vaccines around long enough to know what is noise and what is real evidence of efficacy or danger.
“getting tested, and not knowing where they got it or when they got it.

This is why I brought up the fact that people have lost common sense. “Don’t know where they got it”..c’mon Adam. Off the top of my head, I can think of a dozen scenarios of people getting sick..but have no idea where they got it. Even during the height of lockdowns people were still out grocery shopping & working. Maybe the lady that walked next to your friend down the same aisle wasn’t showing symptoms because she was sucking on a throat lozenger, maybe Ted at your friends office was symptomatic but couldn’t afford to miss work so hide the symptoms the best he could but unfortunately left the goblin flu virus all over the copy machine. Maybe when your friend Susan ran into use the bathroom at the Shell gas station, someone who was walking out at the same time left the toilet ridden with Covid.

Doesn’t all of that conflict with the idea that you need a high viral load in close proximity? I thought this was all about droplets etc?

I feel like what you say here supports my commentary: someone can not be SHOWING symptoms and still spread it.

Good lord. "I thought I was going to get sick tomorrow but today I feel sick." They are making themselves sick with this ****! The idea is to NOT get sick. There has to be a better way. Too bad we don't have an innate immune system.

Covid can be transmitted by other means than droplets. Why were businesses forced to wipe down & sanitize areas where customers were if this not be the case? Why do grocery stores have to sanitize carts before another customer can use it? Why do booths & tables have to be sanitized? Why do salons have to sanitize chairs before Susan can get her hair done?

We were forced to in my business per the State Board of Health.

No it does not conflict whatsoever, if the person has a high viral load, contaminated an area, & someone else touched that area..Covid is transmitted..just like the flu

AFAIK, surface transmission is almost non-existent... that whole thing was wildly overblown. Even the CDC admitted it.

According to the CDC, that’s not the case. Covid is literally identical to the flu. Transmission, symptoms, & effect. And now they just came our saying it is airborne..droplet transmission has no baring whatsoever according to the CDC.

Still a risk..and that’s only according to the CDC. Why are we only using them as a guide?
Why not the Mayo Clinic, or the other paper I posted.
Low risk does not equal NO risk.
Covid is an extremely low risk of having severe symptoms & extremely low risk of death, that doesn’t change the fact we closed society, & are now being influenced to jab ourselves with experimental gene therapy

Great... I wrote a huge response and now the forum errors out every time.

Not sure what I can do now. Is BB.com just not willing to invest in a proper forum platform? I swear to God I've spent like 10 minutes writing posts before and all I get it errors. Pisses me off....

It just keeps happening anytime I write any over like 4-5 sentences. Oh well… it seems to sporadically resolve eventually. Seriously pisses me off… I think the BB.com managers abandoned the forum long ago because even the search functions don’t work properly now.

I’ll come back a few hours or a day later with the exact same response, & it manages to post successfully, have no idea what causes errors. Seriously ridiculous

Lets try this again

First thing I'd say is that all the links you used - including the duplicate which was the same one I posted from the CDC - all state that surface transmission is low risk.

Yes, still a risk, but that was kind of the point I was trying to make - the point I thought we were kind of going back and forth on:

Originally, I had stated that most people getting COVID are being infected by people they do not see as obviously ill (coughing, sneezing, sweating, looking pale, etc) or perhaps some small amount are getting infected because they're just willfully putting themselves in dangerous environments. The surface transmission, compared to those factors, is low (as stated by all the links you and I shared).

The reason, I thought, this was being discussed was in relation to your assertion that just avoiding obviously sick people and washing our hands is more than enough. But according to the infection numbers that isn't the case: people are getting infected despite knowing what to avoid; sick people are pretty obvious.

Now, if we're concluding that the testing is flawed anyway and that we just can't trust them, I guess we're at an impasse.

I can't really make an argument about infections if the infection statistics we have are seen as unreliable. I guess the conversation stops there.

I do completely agree that our response was ridiculous and different advice and measures should have been given to keep people healthier, but I suppose I simply cannot get on board with the more elaborate conspiracy theories people are brewing up now.

This magnet talk is honestly just silly to me.

Finally, you used the term 'gene therapy', and im not sure if you're using that wording to make the vaccines appear more severe than they have been shown to behave or not, but that is a very nebulous description..

I mean I know 'gene therapy' sounds edgy and scary to many people, but what exactly are you getting at with that reference?

You are making a few assumptions here that I think we need to clarify.
My original statement is that if you are not symptomatic, you simply do not have enough viral load in you to pass it onto someone else, causing them to be sick. I never went into whether it be Respiratory droplets, airborne particulates, or surface contact.

You stated that a person can pass it on, not knowing they have it (non-symptomatic) & your reason behind this was that you had friends & family get Covid, some of whom had no idea how, as they were avoiding people that were symptomatic & taking advised cautions against Covid.

I then stated that the virus could still be passed on by surface contact, & airborne transmission, regardless of sneezing & coughing. The CDC has stated this is true, yet is a low risk.

So far, everything I have stated remains true. Whether it be low risk or not..Covid is transferable through surface contact. If a person has enough viral load in their system, they will pass on the virus through multiple vectors. Simply wearing a mask will have no effect, as I stated from the beginning of this thread, the main transmission path is long-residence-time aerosol particles (< 2.5 μm), which are too fine to be blocked, and the minimum-infective dose is smaller than one aerosol particle. Despite taking precautions, your friends could have easily gotten Covid regardless of their best attempts to mitigate contact with those that simply look sick.

OK, I see where the mix-up etc happened. I wasn't referring to 'asymptotic' in the same sense.... in particular because, as it relates to transmission avoidance, simply giving the advice to avoid sick people would not be sufficient to deter spreading.

I haven't seen studies on asymptotic spreading (or lack thereof) not happening at all for those who are infected, so I can't really comment on that.

Of course I imagine it is lower, but I just don't have the data to know one way or another.

But in a short google search, there's a few resources that seem to say you can spread it without symptoms.

Yea..you cannot spread it without symptoms. If that were true, than it would have been true for all the other 36 known Coronavirus that have been present for 6 decades.

Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

We were forced to in my business per the State Board of Health.
The reason is something beyond peoples ability to grasp--NARRATIVE REINFORCEMENT, to make everyone think it's REALLY REAL: "look all these things that are being done!". This is a very powerful deception technique that most get duped by--that by "being really busy doing things" allegedly in response to a problem that they created, most could never wrap their head around the fact that this is all total bs. The plexiglass, the stupid stickers on the floor, the stupid one way signs down isles of most stores, the dividing barriers between exits and entrances--all of this works together to psyop people into submission. The more narrative reinforcement that they have, the harder it is for people to realize that ALL of it is one giant deception operation, and makes it more likely for TPTB to get people to JUST OBEY.

I don’t believe everything… but when there are so many varying sources of ‘truth’ one has to make a decision or never move in any direction at all…

I’ve said it before, but if all it takes to render a study or an information use useless or invalid is to make a self-declaration… well… then w’re all just as credible as anything else.

Don’t like a study? No problem, call it fake

Don’t like a vaccine study? Call it fake

Don’t like a conspiracy theory, call it lies

In the digital age when falsifying anything is so ubiquitous and influence can bought either with money or social appeal… we’re all kind of fukked no matter what we do.

You could be wrong on 100% of the claims, so could I….

Seems like kind of a dead end

Agreed, I also believe it’s a bit of them laughing at us as we are being played like lab rats, with some ritual practices thrown in.

On a side note..saw this just posted somewhere that was pretty interesting..

We need to vaccinate every person as fast as possible, including children whom are at no risk,of Covid at all, because if we don’t everyone will develop natural herd immunity lasting years & we won’t be able to pump experimental chemicals into people multiple times every year..

Blood samples from recovered patients suggest a powerful, long-lasting immune response, researchers reported”

The problem is there is only one narrative being pushed & a willful act on multiple levels to silence anyone that has concerns, or speaks out against the MSM/Govt/Big Pharma/“Science” agenda..and it is an agenda, in their own words. I’ll say it again, I learned from history that if the govt REALLY REALLY wants you to do something, it most likely not in your best interest. The vast majority of mouth breathers don't know jack **** about world history and honestly don't give a ****, it's tiktok time! How many generations before have sworn, "never to forget," from ****ed up situations in the past? 1 or 2 generations down the line, they don't even know what freedom is and are begging for governments to make their decisions for them.
