I loved pokemon back in the day but idk I just can't justify wasting so much time on a video game that has no reward in the end. I've done that too much already

Hey,
Dont write yourself off yet
Its only in your head you feel left out
Or looked down on
Just try your best
Try everything you can
And don't you worry what they tell themselves
When youre away.
nobody will give you anything in life, if you want something, go get it! show no fear!
you cant succeed unless you try, give it your best shot!
Im all about self-improvement, being the best I can be
lift heavy, train hard, any less would be wasted effort
relax, its just life.

pretty cool to see how this game is changing social interaction between people, social media has already played such a huge role in shaping how we communicate/interact with each other & the world, stuff like pokemon GO is going to shape that even more so. more games like this are going to come onto the scene in the next few decades. we're pretty much in the middle of a gaming/social/tech revolution brehs

Please stop catching Pokemon at the Holocaust Museum
http://wgntv.com/2016/07/12/holocaus...ching-pokemon/
You can catch Pokemon almost anywhere while playing Pokemon Go, but the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum would really like people to stop doing it in their building.
The Museum is a 'PokeStop' in the game where players can get free in-game items. There are actually three different PokeStops associated with various parts of the museum, according to the Washington Post.
On Monday afternoon, there were plenty of people inside the museum who seemed to be distracted from its haunting exhibits as they tried to "catch 'em all." A player even used a lure module, a beacon that attracts Pokemon to a specific PokeStop, on the museum's marker — making double-headed bird-like creatures dubbed Doduos and rodent-like Rattatas practically swarm on users' screens.
The player behind the lure, a 30-year-old visiting from North Carolina named Dustin who declined to share his last name with The Post for privacy reasons, was excited to catch a crustacean-like Krabby while waiting in the museum's lobby with a group of friends to pick up tickets for a scheduled tour of the exhibits.

Fukkkkkkkk
So I live in the suburbs, the closest pokestop is like a half mile out of my neighborhood and down the street, so I haven't been to any and there haven't been really any rare pokemon popping up around me. Just the usual Nidoran, pidgey, spearrow, venonat, weedle, etc. There was a Drowzee earlier today that I caught in my driveway and I thought that was pretty rare for where I am.
Then tonight I was just sitting around watching Netflix, and occasionally I'd open the app and see if anything good popped up. There was an Evee that was 2 footprints away, so I got up and went outside to get it since I'm close to evolving my Evee. I went outside and walked around a bit in every direction and didn't see any progress so I said fuk it and went home. Like 2 minutes after I got home, it popped up in my basement. It must've followed me home.
THEN
Like an hour later, I turn on the app again, and I see a PIKACHU (which I didn't have any of) with 3 footprints. Normally if there's 3 footprints I don't bother, but Pikachu is pretty rare, especially for where I am, in the suburbs in a residential neighborhood. So I go out and I walk about 50 yards in every direction and it's still at 3 footprints so I'm like fukking fukk.
Then I see someone slowly driving by me, they're clearly playing the game. Like I said, it's a residential neighborhood so there's zero traffic other than people who live here. So I'm like fuk it, I get in my car and I start driving, and sure enough, I drive about another 100 yards and the footprints go down to 2, then BOOM my phone vibrates, and there he is.
And there's someone parked with their car running in the middle of the street right in front of me (a different car from earlier), so they were definitely catching him too LOL. So I throw THREE fukking pokeballs and he breaks out of all 3 of them. He's got an orange circle around him so that's the 2nd hardest type to catch, even though he's only 88CP. I throw 2 curveballs out of desperation and I know I'm running low on pokeballs at this point. Probably would've just deleted the game if I ran out and lost him. Then I threw one more and luckily I got him. Feelsgoodman.

I only have 1 pikachu, but one of his abilities is Thunder.... so even though hes a weak level 1 pokemon he does a lot of damage with that ability...... cant wait to evolve him and power him up but finding pikachus are tough

if nintendo can keep innovating this game, it has potential to last a very long time.
i hope you guys picked the right teams and are joining the right gyms. people now have 1000+ combat points, and some gyms have 52k health. you'll need a very stacked team to take over the gyms.
personally, i dont play it. don't really have the time to do it. lol
