One would hardly be surprised as the internet provides a physical barrier/opportunity to portray a persona that a person may not be able to do in the real world srs

Digital persona can be a very accurate measure of an individual's personality and real world characteristics srs

If no one from the real world who knows the truth behind a person's image in the eyes of others can vouch for authenticity, then the possibility of false lifestyle is infinitely possible

I like the way it looks and the invaluable meaning behind that specific "simple" design cannot be understood by others except myself. I did not get something "permanent" on my shoulder to impress others nor to attract attention towards myself. As for the being born into royalty and wealthy, that is my father's inheritance and the rest of his siblings. His wealth and "money" is not mine. I maybe his biological son and share the same bloodline as him and the rest of our family, but that does not make me part of the "old money."

I love my dad and everyone in the family to death but I refuse to accept a free hand-out into wealth and prosperity without having earned it myself. I do not respect an individual who is not self-made and has not experienced difficulties in their life before ascending through the challenges and setbacks in order to achieve growth. Dad chose to stay in Iran with the rest of our family and I live here in the Bay Area, putting myself through higher education, working full time, paying for my living expenses/college tuition out of pocket before turning to loans, living with international students in a rented apartment and more without support from anyone.

Please do not jump to conclusions and immediate assumptions when encountering people who come from a "different" background than most. If one of my ancestors, who was nothing more than a common class peasant at the time, was able to rise through the social, political, economic and militaristic ladders on their own and go on to establish a royal dynasty that ruled over one of our planet's most well-known civilizations and created a legacy that is embedded into history and lives on forever, then so can I.

Dad and his siblings who reside all over the world actively contribute to charities that provide a variety of services and products srs

NGO and non-profits that build essential infrastructre such as houses, hospitals, schools, libraries, water treatment facilities and such to providing low-cost or free medical check-ups and dental hygiene services in lesser-developed countries

I plan to contribute what is the most valuable to me; my time and life energy towards giving back srs

It's not profit because if the value of the property increased by 3% over one year and inflation increased by 3% for that same year, you've actually made 0%. It's called the inflation-adjusted return on investment, and houses tend to not perform well over the long term compared to inflation increases.

If you compound the inflation forecasted over the next five years it crunches out to over 11%. So figure that over five years on a $600,00 investment you expect a $100,000 increase in value when selling, take $66,000 out of that profit purely for a decrease in purchasing power from inflation increases.

Well his ROI is higher than 3% so he is still profiting. He also did not put 600k of his own money down so his investment is likely more about 20% if that is what he put down as his downpayment.

Plus like I said the money he is putting towards mortgage/HOA/taxes is likely the same as if he would rent his place and thus not losing money.
