Depends. If you have a 'hook' I think it's still good. I'm not a chad at all, basically average attractiveness (decent in real life, invisible in clubs) but spent the summer in NYC as an Englishman and tried out tinder/bumble for the first time. My profile said English and there for the summer (i.e. I want to fuk).
Had lots of matches. Quite a lot of conversations, most of which were crucifyingly boring. A few dates, most of which were crucifyingly boring. Slayed once a week (range 6-8/10) for the first 6-7 weeks then got bored of it and settled into a couple of more regular arrangements. The top-tier girls (9-10/10) would only message when bored and it would be brief and really just there to encourage more validation.
I haven't tried here in the UK (deleted it when I left) but I reckon it would be much worse for me here because I don't have that 'hook' of being English and only temporarily in town.
