Your tap water right now is still drinkable, but it won't be after the storm hits.

So start filling containers with tap water if you can't find any bottled water in stores.

Grab any empty large bottles you have. Or go buy some big IGLOO drinking coolers and fill them with tap water ASAP.

Well I was planning on hunkering down, but there's been a mandatory evacuation in effect since early this morning... Not sure though when I can leave as I'm waiting to see what happens to the wife. They're trying to evacuate the entire hospital, but if they can't get everyone out, she and I will stay for now. Not looking good for me guys, both my house and rental property are in a pretty low area by the marsh. Have a sick feeling in my stomach...

All but one of my neighbors has left my street. The one neighbor boarded his windows. But it's basically just me in my house and him in his house. No activity. Oddly USPS still reads a package of mine out for delivery. Dumb if USPS is making them work my block today. SMFH.

I've been invited to others, but won't leave my pets...or house.

looks like storms path is more north now and Miami will be almost completely spared and only get some gusts and rain.

lol ive seen people boarding up and shuttering their windows

that's what Hurricane impact resistant glass is for. don't have to shutter anything. Impact glass can withstand Category 5 winds and the projectiles that come with it with no problem.

Hold me misc. I'm scared. Gf is at work for weekend (she's a nurse). House is in low lying area near golf course pond that overflowed into downstairs of my house last year during Joaquin. Had like 6 inches of water throughout and very worried it will happen again. Also got lots of pine trees within falling distance of roof and even a few are already leaning. I am not peppered misc fuk this gay earth
