Lmao I remember having one well-equipped player install a program that could dupe items. It was an AutoIt script that would open up their Diablo 2 game, drop all their chit and then proceed to fuking reboot their computer. The victims were running around in Act 1 because of panic and just dropping all their chit lmao and then disconnect. They couldn't do anything about it. srs

I use to /dnd scam peoples accounts, change the password then strip their characters before they changed it back. I also use to befriend people, gain their trust then steal their accounts when they became rich. I use to use an acc with hardly anything on it and pretend I was poor just in case they scammed me first. I use to also convince people how to dupe their Ith Swords and TypeSorc armor in 1.08 USWest and get them to open a webpage that makes them drop their items.

Goat was using God mode in Diablo 1 and repeatedly killing resurrecting people so they couldn't leave the game. Back when PvP was unregulated.

I remember getting my grief phase blade scammed by some *******. He said he'd give me a eBOTD and some other cool stuff for it, but first wanted to 'test' it on his character. Of course he had earned my trust earlier by dropping a bunch of mid/high level runewords so that I could try them out.

Being the naive idiot i am i gave him the ebotd and the fker laughed in my face and left. Funny thing is I caught him doing it to another guy in a game later on but the poor bastard didn't heed my warnings and got scammed too.

Worst is when I lost the unique small charm that drops from diablo clone and a whole lot of other stuff because id join random games and go to cold plains to drop everything and log in with another char to pick it up. Some guy followed me and grabbed all my stuff.

Still rage just thinking about it.

Anyone remember the scam where people would say they're inventory was full, and they would comeback with an item looking exactly the same bu with different stats hoping to catch you out on the trade. Fukking D2 nostalgia ITT.

this happened to me. Was supposed to get Tal plate which is purple, but the ******* put in another purple looking gothic plate which was a low level unique. I was such a gullible idiot.

got scammed a few times for petty stuff in runescape. 500k-2m loans and almost 3m but I got it back.

just pixels but people will do it in real life too, dem runescape life lessons.


Sometimes we use to take randoms to greater demons in f2p and then backstab them for rune lol.

I had a small hack that allowed me to type text above my head in different colors, would sit in town and type "duping...process..." etc, and watch everyone get curious as I dropped many of the same items (non valuable of course). Then if interest sparked enough for one of them, they would ask me about it. I would tell them sure, I would help, create a private room, tell them "how it's done", ask them to dupe me their items on the character (obviously the valuables *gear*), in-game I would send them the "program" in email while we stand afk in the game. Dude would open his email, start the program, then all his chit would pop off of his character and his computer would crash ultimately kicking him out while I reap the rewards lol.

I had a "cruel colossus bow of swiftness" that was a damn straight legit competitor of windforce. I did my best to keep everything on my inventory (non duped) and legit.

No ones going to understand this but my big mmorpg was Arctic MUD based on the dragonlance series. Back in 1995 you could play text based games (MUD's) where you would type what you wanted your character to do.. A little bit like dungeons and dragons.

I played D1 D2 but not online.

I am a D3 addict and a few days ago gave the game to my brother because i was missing gym over it. I will go back to playing when they release necromancers.

The worst I would do is have an 1.07 Oculus (I think it was an 1.07 it was the crappy one) and then the good 1.09 Oculus. I would then say I was looking to trade the 1.09 oculus for x.

I would get in the trade screen and start picking up and moving my 1.09 oculus over and over and saying that you have to do it to show it's note a dupe. At the last second I would switch out the 1.09 for the 1.07 Oculus.

If you remember back in D1, you could declare hostility whenever and wherever, instead of having to be in town to go hostile.

That feel when you had a fireball mage and you would declare hostility 3 levels deep in the caves.
